Please remember that before installing synthetic/Kanekalon hair you need to treat it with apple cider vinegar and warm water so that the agents in the hair do not irritate your skin and cause itching and bumps. There is a skin irritant in the hair that is alkaline and you need to neutralize it so soak the hair for like 15 minutes and that should do the trick.

In the African American aka Black community (watch braiding videos or CZcams ‘kanekalon hair braiding’ and you’ll see every single seasoned braider pronounces the ‘kuh-naaa-kuh-lawn’. Whatever other pronunciation exists out there wouldn’t even be recognized in beauty stores because the entire synthetic hair arena pronounces it as written above. It was so funny to hear her pronounce it so differently! Simply unheard of amongst insiders and synthetic hair connoisseurs…she’s damn right tho! Kanekalon hair is preferred amongst any other synthetic hair!!! It is known for its higher quality for braiding and heat resistance. It simply has a longer “life” on your hair.
