For those who are curious about her whereabouts, Sarah, also known as Snaxan, is concentrating on her gaming channel on CZcams. I'm not sure when she'll going to upload to this channel again, so let's just wait for her announcement.
A lot of people seem to think Hantengu had a split personality as a human. He didn't. He just sucked. It's why the moment they pointed out he could see his excuse changed. His whole shtick is deflecting blame. Not all Demons in the series are tragic characters. Muzan seems to like people who show traits similar traits to his own. Which means most of them were murderers even before they met him.
Not necessarily. Rui. Akaza. Both were good people, yet powerful demons. Tamayo. All the kids....
Muzan mostly target two type of people: people in distress, ill, despair, or in need of approval (Ume/Daki, Gyutaro, Tamayo, Rui, Kyogai, Hakiji/Akaza, probably Spider Mother, Hand demon and Susamaru) , and selfish bastards (Nakime, Gyokko, Douma, Swamp Demon, Enmu, Kaigaku.
Then there are those which one of those reasons were, like the rest of spider family and the lower moons, Yahaba
Finally, there is the guy from Asakusa, chosen as a distraction and Nezuko that we don't know why he chose her.
This finale was an Absolute Roller coaster, Hearing Nezuko Speak was so Wholesome and Cute, also Genyas smile was So surreal and his face when Mitsuri hugged him🥺😄

In another book of Demon Slayer, it talked about the backstory of Hantengu when he was much younger (about the same age as his 4 adult clones that Tanjiro fought).
In there, it talked about how Hantengu was always a bad person. He was a thief, a murderer, a cheater, and a fraud. Due to his frequent crimes of theft and murder, he was exiled in every town he went to. In each time, he would change his name and his identity. He did this so many times, he doesn't even know who he really is anymore (Hence his 4 emotion clones). He had multiple wives and children. Whenever he's confronted about his cheating, he would kill his wife he's with and his children and move on to the next, repeating the cycle.
Hantengu has always been a narcissist, a compulsive liar, plays the victim card,and a kleptomaniac. A well-rounded recipe for a psycho.
All the signs of MPD. Classic textbook case.
In my opinion Hantengu was more of POS than Muzan
@@blackwhite3610 in Hantengu's defense, he's most likely mentally ill. Muzan is just plain greedy, he's just evil. He does things not because he can't help himself, but because he takes pleasure in it, because he can, and he wants to.

Hantengu was going to hell even before becoming a demon.
As a guy, I will admit I cried several times throughout the first two seasons. This last episode was the biggest emotional rollercoaster I’ve experienced. I didn’t cry when Nezuko kicked her brother off because I instinctively knew she wouldn’t die. When she started talking and seeing that she was ok, I was a mess with relief.
As a manga reader I teared up this episode and I knew what was coming 😂😂
Beautiful episode. The animation, the music, the voice acting, everything. Just absolute perfection😭
The only thing that kept me from becoming an inconsolable mess during this episode was thinking there’s no freaking way she’s gonna die lol

I'm of the opinion that we only get backstories of demons when Tanjiro slays them because he feels empathy for them. Tokito literally told Gyoko to "hurry up and go to hell" so yeah, no empathy at all there.
the manga writer really took her time creating this arc so i was so happy seeing it animated!

Untold Gyokko's backstory in the Anime is also so sad as well as other demons.😅
He was born in a poor fishing village, and lost his parents when he was a child. Incidentally, Gyokko found the water corpses of his parents himself. And sadly no one helped the orphan, and he had to live all by himself. Everything surrounding him had crooked his mind and made his character for sure.
After he grew, a mean brat tried to mock Gyokko and he naturally got angry and killed the kid, and stuffed the kid corpse in a vase. Soon the kid's parent knew his stupid kid was killed by Gyokko, and stabbed him many times for vengeance. Gyokko stayed alive in a half day stabbed and abandoned, then as usual, Muzan scum appeared and turned Gyokko into a demon.
Abandoned orphan's fallen life into a demon, this is enough sad story for me.😢
I don't know if you can call someone who murders and mutilates a kid over an insult sad. Pitiable maybe, but he's far from a sympathetic character.

Muzan being part of a wealthy family is not surprising he was a narcissist with a superiority complex and when he turned into a demon he got even worse.

Just a quick fyi. There is not just 1 season let there are 3.
3 Arcs to be specific. The Hashira Training Arc coming in April 2024. The Infinity Castle Arc (Against the top 3 Upper Moons). And the Sunrise Countdown Arc (Against Muzan).

I didn’t think it was unrealistic tokito beat upper 5.
In season two, tengen mentions that he’s nowhere near prodigy level like tokito. While tengen was slightly less of a match against upper 6, tokito, without his memories to dig in, and his demon slayer mark not activating, was still stronger than tengen. Who almost beat upper 6.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable that tokito could solo upper 5 (if we disregard he had help with the bubbles, since was effectively defeated alone) after regaining his memories, and showing how much of a boost those demon marks give, tanjiro’s forheard and mitsuri flower mark as well
The anime is about half way through the manga. So there will definitly be more seasons, don't worry 😁

17:14 one of the (small) things I didn't like about this episode is it didn't do a great job of showing how Muzan learned about Nezuko. It's because the 'Resentment' head survived out of the sunlight for a little while after the main body was killed...allowing Hantengu to see Nezuko withstand the sun and telegraph the information back to Muzan. It's why he praises Hantengu.
I thought it was Nakime with her eyeball-spies.
@@jamesbell7696 that's how Muzan is viewing them in the end of the anime after his flashback sequence, but the way he knew to check was from Hantengu reporting.

there's one season that's confirmed and it might only be 4/5 episodes long and the infinity castle arc is gonna be split into multiple movies.
The fish demon's backstory which they didn't include in this show is worse in some ways than Muzans. To sum it up, he lived in a fishing village, was known to play with and do weird things with fish carcasses which made him an outcast. After being teased by children, he lashed out and killed them by stuffing them in jars. Hence why you see him with fish themes and jars and 'artwork' which carried over as a demon. There's no point including a backstory for a demon that no one is ever going to have a shred of sympathy for. Hantengu is pretty bad himself, but at least people can partially understand that in life, he had MPD. Thanks for your reaction, I enjoyed it.
I figured as much that he was from a fishing village… but stuffing kids in the jars is next level psycho evil. Knowing that, I wished Muichiro could have somehow tortured him more. Still, the memory of Muichiro slashing his head to teeny bits is pretty satisfying.

The ending of this season was the best ending so far. I think Season 2's fights were more breathtakingly awesome (pun intended). I will miss your wonderful reactions to this beautiful story until next spring!
Really? I found myself feeling worse for Gyutaro than I felt during this one
cuz gyutaro and daki's past were really f***ed up. their lives wasn't their fault at all. it's not gyutaro's fault he was born ugly, wasn't their fault their parents are f***ed up (having children amidst a terrible life and knowing they can't sustain their children). their upbringing from that environment wasn't their fault too, on top of that, they're in a f***ed up area of the world filled with horny ahh a**holes. it's also something that could happen in real life, which helps in making people feel worse about their story
@Daniel-ed8dl I agree. I felt bad for Gyutaro and Ume. I felt no sympathy for Gyuoko, or Hatengu. What I meant was I think the ending overall had the best feel good ending so far. Season 2 had the best fight scene by far, but I really love Tanjiro's heroic send-off from the Villagers.

We are either getting 3 movies (the current rumor that has no source) or two seasons. There is no way they fit the rest of the story into one season.

No mercy or sympathy for Hantengu. He wasn't incapable of not being a menace to society. At least Muzan is honest about his greed and pride and murderous desire. Hantengu is a dishonest and selfish POS that blames everyone and everything else for the actions he committed. One can be psychopathic and not committ numerous murders, thefts, etc. It's just trash behavior that society has zero need to tolerate or pity. Possession of a mental illness does not make one exempt from the responsibilities of a society. Hantengu's personal liberties and rights cease to exist when his desire to perform an action results in the death of another person or the destruction of another's property. Just my take on it
