    Been looking for something like this Coach. I've always been afraid to tap in a wire and throw a code on the Spyder and put it in lump mode.
    Great solution. Thanks brother.

      I was actually very reluctant about buying this. So far, I really like it. It looks like it is a very simple solution for a very common problem.
      If this thing continues to be as good as I think it is. I will definitely have one on the Spyder in the next few months. Hope you’re doing well!

    The FuzeBlock FZ-1 is what I have used in both my 2011 Spyder RTS and in my 2016 Spyder RTS. It works great to get accessories off of the battery. Their is a cable from the battery to the FZ-1 (relay protected) and the option to operate accessories (constant or switched). Each circuit is protected by a mini-fuse of varying amperages.

    What happens when you hook a battery tender to it?

      So far.. no anomalies. I will do a long term review and look for any possible trouble.

    Purchased Thunder Box months ago for that purpose, sadly F3-S is still missing, sunny days like today are so painful. Take care coach, wishing yourself & CoachVic health & happiness.

    Hey CB, the Thunder Box sounds like a perfect power source for the Spyder. No worries about the Can-Bus system going crazy when adding new lights and etc. Thank you for the video. I will need to get one for my Spyder now. 😁 I like your videos because you always tell it like it is good or bad.
    Now time for you to add the high mount brake and signal lights to the trunk on your Spyder. It really helps to make to Spyder more visible from behind especially when pulling the can-am Freedom trailer.
    I really hope to meet you and Coach Vic some day.
    Ryde safe and God Bless
    Artie

    Very useful information, better than adding a full fuse box. What is the max amp draw would be my only concern. Thanks for the great video again.😎😎

    I’m no tech brain either so: questions. 1. If I want to connect more than one accessory, say a heated jacket and also aux lights, I would need two of these or the 32A version, right? 2. Could I put an on/off switch between the thunder box and the aux light, so I can turn them on/off when I want? And question 3: would this work on an electrical vehicle like a BMW ce04? All ‘expert’ help appreciated.

    Great accessory opportunity. Love your channel and am envious of the riding opportunities you have in the south. In central Alberta, Canada our riding has a limited season but we try to make the best of it. We have a 2021 Spyder RT Limited and can't say how much we love the ride. Great for touring and superbly stable rainy conditions. All the best to you and your family.

    I've installed a lot of TricLed lights in the rear and the front of my 22 RT Limited. They are plug and play and are easy to install and I thought they were not supposed to harm the electrical system. Even the trailer wiring harness was plug and play. Am I looking for trouble down the road or what? I see so many Spyders with these lights on their bikes. As always thanks for the videos....

    Looks like a nice way to add accessories. I would curious how it would act when the battery tender is on the bike. Would the voltage input trigger it to come on or is the voltage input too low to make it react? Awesome video. ✌️

      Apparently the chargers can turn it on in which case you attach the white wire to the thundebox block (negative I believe). However I don’t need to do that with my Triumph Tiger 850 Sport.

  • @christophermuklewicz3312

    Like Tom mentioned, how does it react with a battery tender 🤔

    Nice unit but your Garmin once off won’t it’s internal battery run dead in one hr? That’s as long Garmin runs on internal battery.

    • @CoachBob3
      @CoachBob3  Před rokem +2

      The Garmin powers down when I turn the bike off. So it isn’t running at all. I have it running the same way on the Spyder. 👍👍 Then when ya crank it up. It powers back on with power from the motorcycle. 👍👍

    • @CoachBob3
      @CoachBob3  Před rokem +1

      @@ledpig6787 yessir. That is correct. I can manually turn it on/off or just have it power up and down with the motorcycle. 👍👍👍

    I have a 2022 Triumph Bonneville T100. I have not yet found any reviewer who uses this bike to install the Thunderbox.
    Anyone know of a 2022 Triumph Bonneville T100 where a Thunderbox has been installed with a video or pictures?

    • @CoachBob3
      @CoachBob3  Před 5 měsíci

      It would be a universal installation process. It’s a really straightforward and simple job. It works great and I am glad to be using it.
      Good luck on the installation and thanks for watching.

    What year did can am change the engines in the spyders? Are the 2020s the same as the 2022? Or was it 2021?

    • @CoachBob3
      @CoachBob3  Před rokem +1

      In 2014 they went to the 1330cc three cylinder rotax engine. Before that it was a twin.
      The change to the new body style was in 2020.
