    Took me a week to get a bolt out of my leaf springs😂 tried everything but being right next to the fuel tank I couldn’t use an oxy torch or grinder. in the end we had to slowly cut it with a coping blade

    How did you go about the bullbar? Being the fact of lifting the body but wouldn’t the bullbar stay where it is?

    Top video! Editing is heaps good !! I had a massive issue with the radiator aswell! I’m just curious to know how the bullbar was still able to line up with the headlights at the end ?? Mine has a big space when I was done ?

      Moey dntworry In the time that I went home for the night, Ben made brackets for his bullbar so that it was also raised 2 inches. It’s a fairly simple process but if you’re on Instagram, Ben would be happy to talk you through the process! His account is @renboss2000

    At what point did you realise lifting the body wont change the fact your tyres scrub control arm? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 simply a new set of rims with a little more negative offset would be the easier option lol

    How will the body lift fix his tire scrubbing on the control arm

    • @WillsLandcruiser

      I think he wants to put bigger tyres on with an offset to fix this

      Didn't you weld a piece onto original one and make it fit?

  • @DoubleSlayerXXX
    @DoubleSlayerXXX Před 2 lety

    Just thought of something, What if you have a front mount intercooler

    • @WillsLandcruiser
      @WillsLandcruiser  Před 2 lety

      Well the intercooler would be mounted to the body, and the engine is staying put. So you might get away with it if you have heaps of flex in your hoses, but otherwise you’d need to make a drop down bracket 👍

      @Will's Landcruiser Mods
      Update:
      Intercooler actually fits alot better with the lift

  • @mymistymountainhop
    @mymistymountainhop Před 4 lety +2

    Nice work. What about the shroud from under the bonnet to the intercooler? Does it still seal?

    • @WillsLandcruiser
      @WillsLandcruiser  Před 4 lety +1

      I think because the body lifts and the engine doesn't, the intercooler no longer seals on the bonnet. In the near future, Ben is going to make his own intercooler lift to suit this change and so it seals once again

    • @mymistymountainhop
      @mymistymountainhop Před 4 lety

      I believe vmn make a specific spacer for between intercooler-bonnet. Would love to see more videos with Bens hilux

    I'm doing mine at the moment, can you put the extension shaft below the original one?

    • @WillsLandcruiser
      @WillsLandcruiser  Před 3 lety +2

      Mr Shinybald I can’t see why not. I think the way it separated just kinda lent itself to putting the extension on top, but it should work either way

    • @mrshinybald2739
      @mrshinybald2739 Před 3 lety

      So my extended shaft is rubbing on the firewall any idea how I can pull it down?

    • @WillsLandcruiser
      @WillsLandcruiser  Před 3 lety

      Mr Shinybald did you only slide the extension on like an inch?? The two extension sleeves should be touching like shown in the video. I’m sure you could try manipulating them so everything slides down a bit? Just make sure there’s enough sleeve over spline so it’s going to obviously be sturdy enough to act as a steering column

    great video mate. can you fit 33s with a 2” lift on a hilux?

    • @WillsLandcruiser
      @WillsLandcruiser  Před 4 lety +1

      Waik hey mate I don’t own a hilux but I just had a chat to Ben, he reckons if it’s the same model as his and the tyres don’t have an offset, you’ll get away with it. But if you have an offset they might scrub. It does depend on your model and how much the suspension may have sagged though!
