Love these POV videos from Romain.
Four freakin POV laps! No cuts, no music, pure motorsport! It can't get any better than this! Infinite likes dropped.
Amazing, only way it can be topped is by showing the speed and the footwork.
I know that sims help a lot these days, but I am still amazed at how quickly you're on the edge your 1st visit to the track. Freaking awesome!
@@MRMIKE276 I can drive like that in iRacing. And at the end of the session, I am not tired at all. Haha.
@@kcbroncohater Haha hey same here. The G-forces definitely put some strain on you especially when it's hot. When it's cold its not too terrible but then again I don't drive an Indycar lol.
Truly enjoy you sharing these! Only way we'll get a chance to see the track through your eyes! Most of us will never drive indycar, so thank for your time to share with your fans!
Been really enjoying watching you in IndyCar. Please come back next year too!
This track is so Bad Ass. Fantastic driving
Those hills are no joke when they completely unload the car. Hard to tell from the video but I bet thats extremely intense.
Yeah this camera is pretty good to see the effect it has, can see the weight lift off as he has to correct
@@Staleyboi12 The effect he's feeling is 100 times more than it looks. I ran a shifter kart at Mid Ohio and those were ridiculous. Can't even imagine what its like carrying that much more speed In an Indy car.
I live 10 minutes away from this track and it’s so awesome watching cars just flow around this amazing track!
I envy no man...
*except this one on a Friday afternoon.*
What a fantastic way to spend some time outdoors on a gorgeous day!
Really happy to hear he enjoyed the course in Ohio. My first time going was for the Xfinity race last month and I thought it was just awesome
As a Cincinnatian (Southwest Ohio), I'm really happy to see this video.
Damn, suiting up and seeing the scars still on the hands. What's the saying? "We all have scars, some you just can't see." That's a reminder of luck, faith, and perseverance. Go GRO! IndyCar is loving you.
He's adapting Quickly to these wore out slippery ass tracks we have here ..its fun to watch his in car ...I look forward to these videos
umm... this track isn't worn out or slippery... Being an FIA grade 2 track, it can handle some serious stuff and is used throughout the entire racing season. Have you even been there?
@@stevenwoodruff2647 pretty decent gap on quality between mid-ohio and whats on the race schedule for F1 though, even though mid-ohio isn't bad at all
@@twentylush I'm not saying it has F1 grade stuff (but it doesn't) but don't underestimate the track's quality.
Long live the IndyCar engine sounds, no DRS require.
Mid-Ohio is one of my favorite courses! Enjoy it! Thank you for the video - it brought back memories!
I’m a simple guy. I see a RoGro helmet cam video, I like.
Utterly fantastic stuff once again.
I hope you’ll get your first INDYCAR win soon Romain good luck this weekend 😊
I love how completely on Romain has galivanted on to the Indy scene, every race he is always running in the top 10 to top 5 at some point and usually finishing around there in his first season. Absolutely nuts and always a great show.
Go Romain! I’ve been a huge fan of you since 2011 and it’s amazing to see you do well in Indycar. Have a good day!
Ooohhh that was great especially the view from you. Those battered but healing, beautiful hands havn't forgotten anything.
Loved this video.. thankyou.👍🇬🇧
It's a fun track. Did one of their driving class, only thing is we used the kink up near the keyhole. And the starting line was still in the original place. That's thirty years ago, but always get goosebumps when they show in-car video.
Thanks for the memories.
Love this is my home track! Sunday can't come soon enough!
Glad Romain is racing IndyCars. His talents were being wasted in F1
Ehhh I’m sure even the slowest f1 car is a riot and privilege to drive 😌.
@@peterad1529 Yeah but if you're not even able to fight for the top 10 what's the point? I'm hopeful that the Merc test gives RG the chance he needs.
@@mierdevries9643 that test is more like “glad you made it out alive” compensation. Romain has repeatedly said in interviews he’s done with F1, “that chapter is closed” - in interviews with F1 Off The Grid Podcast, Racer Magazine, and other outlets
@@peterad1529 most of the time driving the worst car is a pain and a horrible experience , your going just as face but have little control over the car
@@jman94 Yeah but if he can lay down a lap time that is as good or better than one of the Mercedes drivers, as long as they use a track they've run on previously, then it shows his talent. It would also show that F1 still needs reform to stop it from being a pay-to-win series.
That is the first viewing perspective that i can actually "feel" the weight of the car as it's cornering, awesome!
You are quick! I can’t wait to see you winning races in Indy cars, I’m one of many of your F1 fans that you have pulled to appreciate Indy cars. Love your channel, and I’m looking forward to seeing you live in the near future..
Racing with an RM on the wrist. What a guy.
Best racing channel on CZcams. Period.
I hope drivers like you coming to Indycar will help more global fans see how awesome indycar is. But unfortunately you can barely tell what’s going on because of NBC and their endless commercials.
If I’m right, the contract with NBC ends after 2021 so hopefully something better happens.
@@Nakazati Please god let indycar have their own youtube and do highlights like F1. Indycar can have so much more presence than it has now
@@twentylush well I’d rather it stay now and not as toxic as F1 because I don’t want those people joining the Indy community
Amazing video Romain! Nerves of steel!! So happy you are driving Indy and hope you find a permanent home here! Thank for sharing! Unbelievable video! Please keep them coming and congrats on P7 at Mid-Ohio!!
On veut encore plus de vidéos comme celle-là. C'est super. Merci Romain. :)
Love the long flowing corner over and through the hills.
Love seeing Romain back on form! Keep up the amazing work man there's championships in the works for you yet!
Wild ride! Just love the prep stuff, getting into the car, pitting, etc. Crazy how clear the Aeroscreen is. Love these videos. Thanks for making them. Have fun, good luck!
It is clear because there aren't any other cars right in front of him.
@@joelbrooks3198 I'm referring to the lack of any optical distortion in the aeroscreen, (unlike just a halo in F1) not cars in front of him.
@@don7680 I meant that a car in front might throw dirt and/or oil onto his screen.
Thank you for posting.
Who needs a sim racing setup with vids like this 😃
Super badass, Romain! Thank you for these videos
Romain is a legend! I love Mid Ohio.
Love and appreciate these POV videos! Best of luck in the race!
Love the sound of that car
let's gooooo! Merci pour le video c'étais GÉNIAL, it was amazing M8, I love this track!
Keep this coming, love these videos
Most of the road course tracks here have little room for error. Do you enjoy that or does it bother you?
I hope you choose to stay here with us, I love watching you in Indycar.
Awesome video! Mad respect to all the driver's!!!! Thank you
Turns 7 and 8 are so insanely tricky but when you get it right just feels so incredible. You can really tell if it was quick or not.
Very cool stuff! Keep doing this
Ahhhhhhh, my home track. LOVE M-O!! That off-camber lead-on to Thunder Valley can be a MoFo.
Head RUSH! Thank You. More please!
Congrats on a great race! You're a racing BEAST! Keep having fun.
Of course, I may sound rude, but at the start of the video I doubted it was Romain. But noticed the burns on his hand and it became clear to me, it is our Hero!
Every lap is different as the tires warm up and then there’s the constant steering inputs to make the chassis stay aimed in the right direction. And all being done with no other cars on the track. Race day must be a real mental and physical work out. Mr. Groshans you da man. 😁👍
What a ride. As a regular guy who will likely never drive an Indycar ever, this really gives you a taste. Couple that with the karting I've done in the past and I can just start to imagine the physicality. The car control is really just so impressive from all you guys. There is a reason why you're a pro's pro! I still find the structural support for the Aeroscreen/Halo distracting but that probably shows I'm just not looking where i should be. :-)
Thanks for this videos!!!
@5:22 Nice catch Romain! Really cool video again. Best of luck this weekend!
This track should be in Gran Turismo 7!!! Awesome driving as well, and thank you for the footage!
Romain, I love these vlogs you're doing they're so interesting! Please keep doing them ❤
Love this Romain
Bonjour Romain, quel plaisir de nous faire partager ces super moments !!!
Love these pov vids
Love these videos Romain. Good luck on the 4th!
Excellent!!!
One of the best racetracks ever
SICK!! Thanks Romain, and go get em!
Incredible job mate. Not an easy track but i loved getting to stand trackside and watch you race on the track i learned to race on
Another great race
Merci pour la balade. Bonne bourre pour ce weekend, amuse toi bien. Le bisous à Simon et à Sébastien.😜
Thanks for the trip. Hang on and have fun this weekend.🏁
Phenomenal! Hope you get the win this weekend.
It's incredible how quick you are to adapt Romain! And what a good result on Sunday despite two near misses! Great circuit!
Atleast you stayed ontrack this time. Well done.
Great!!’ Good luck champion
damn this looks like so much fun.... bucket list forsure
Very cool onboard look
Bravo Romain, c'est la première fois qu'on peut se rendre compte de comment ça se passe dans ton bureau.Merci!.
Thx for sharing and cheers from 🇨🇭
It was a pretty impressive interview with Gredig on SRF 🙌
Love seeing u race mate keep it up
Great Stuff !
Yes! Another video! ♥️
Cant wait to hear your thoughts on this circuit and how it compares to some of the F1 circuits you've raced on. This is one of my favorite places to flag when I'm able to travel. This and last year have been a washout for obvious reasons. The 3 years previous have been to tight funds. Many of the marshals you see at the road courses volunteer their time and pay their own way on this side of the ocean. As many likely do in Europe and elsewhere.
I'd most likely be there cheering you on from one of the many flag holes if times were different. Good luck this weekend. Keep that pointy end forward and the shiny side up Romain!
Best wishes from Amherstburg Ontario.
I used to work the AMA Superbike weekends here, about two or three years before the series went under. I'd love to go to the Vintage Days this year, but unfortunately it's the same time as a vintage car race in Pittsburgh.
excellent début , bravo !!!!!
Awesome !
Cette vue est tellement immersive! Au top!!! 😎👍🏼
Looking pretty good. Nice driving!
Looking smooth out there. Exactly what you need to do in Indycar.
Much success Romain.
Great Romain! Nice driving.
The first “race” I saw at Mid-Ohio was the 1967 Can-Am. We pulled in I could see the top wing of a Jim Hall Chapparall going around Keyhole and the rest was history. Always was good racing and a fun track. Jim Truman made it fan friendly. Always enjoyed Mark Donahue and Bobby Rahal because they were so fluid on the track. But the 917/30K just was a beast. Good times!
I for one am quite excited to see you smash it this weekend!
Calling it "Mind-blowing" would be an understatement to describe this video.
Watching as prep for the Champ Car race next month!
Merci Romain pour cette vidéo. Good job
Great track, one of the most fun tracks to drive in the simulator IMO
Looks like a fun and challenging track to drive
gracias por volar con vos!!!!!!!!!good luck!!!!!!raceforever!!!!!!!!!
Next year we want you on Indy500
Hermoso poder ver esto!
Saludos desde Argentina.
Great track😍
Good hustle, dude.
It’s going to be a hell of a racing weekend
At the beginning you can see the burn marks on his hands I hope you are doing better Romain love to see you back racing again.
This guy has balls of steel to have the courage to get back in a race car after what he went through in Bahrain you can still see the burns on his hands
And his hands only give him pain when he is not driving currently so he still has to “drive to survive” lol
