You know why I love Trevor’s interviews? There is no “I’m right your wrong”. It’s all about understanding the other side in a humorous way as possible. I don’t agree with Christie, but it was nice to hear his point of view.

Pretty much this. I was watching Bill Maher interview a Republican (I can't actually remember who...) a few nights ago, and all his questions were leading. "Don't you think Trump ____? Don't you think your party ____?" On top of that, he was constantly interrupting before the guy could get halfway through his answers. (OH! It was the Texan governer with the longest stretch of land on the border... sorry, don't know his name.) It was so *frustrating* to watch. Why ask questions if you don't care about the answers? If you want to make your show an echo chamber, just don't invite guests you don't agree with, otherwise, grow some balls and have the guts to listen to the opposite side and have a discussion.
Trevor does amazing interviews because no matter who he brings on, he lets them talk. He asks questions that are open-ended, "What was going through your mind during____? How did you plan to handle ____? In what ways were you thinking of _____?" He asks specific questions and gets concise answers, and he's willing to have fun with his guests, even when they fundamentally disagree.
Take heed, interviewers. This is how you do it right. :)

Not just to Trump, but to everyone. He says what he thinks people want to hear and uses it to advance his own success. It's not uncommon for a politician, in fact it's not necessarily a BAD tactic when used in reasonable doses, but he does it to such an excessive degree that it's astounding.
He knows right now that slamming the Trump administration in a book and playing the victim is lucrative and potentially will improve his chances of success in his political career, so he did it. Very little about this man is genuine.

Good interview by Trevor, really shows what a career politician Chris Christie is. No morals, no pride, no ideology, pure opportunism just finding ways to get into power and staying there. "I wanted to join Donald Trump when I saw he would win, because I wanted to help him to be a better leader." How he can say this with a straight face and without a smirk on his face is AMAZIN.

I'm not a fan of Christie, but I have to give him one thing:
he's one of the *very* few republicans who isn't too craven to come on shows like the Daily Show or to Stephen Colbert.
All the other republican cowards are peeing their pants.
