Thanks for the advice! Any rigging tips that you had success with would be appreciated! I'll send a video when I can (maybe you will see something I'm missing) Still think it is a power problem though... yours just picks up speed so much better.... makes me think I'm only pumping about 50 HP!
Hi Tanja ,I dont know if you are still flying or not,but there is a guy at Paddys Pond St Johns Nfld,Canada,( U tube,merlinflyer95) that has a LOT of experience with floats rigging/setups/and engines/prop setups. He has been flying for 25+ years on floats and im most sure he can give you any in -depth knowledge of any suggestions on any build project . he is now presently building a zenith 750 and installing corvair 3 litre and lotus floats.ty.( I Myself, fly a 912ul Merlin Gt on Lotus, at Paddys pond ,St Johns/nl..lots of fun!!ty
@schmupsiMN I'm working on a 140 HP fuel injected 800 engine to put in it.. should be lots of fun when that is done! Send pics and vids, will see if I can spot anything wrong. Where is your step in relation to the CG, and what degree of positive incidence do you have on the wing?
any way I can get in touch with you? I'm in Fairbanks and trying to decide between an Avid and a Kitfox. Would like some of your thoughts. Also trying to decide which floats. Thanks correllwl
I can reload it with nothing but the commentary. I will load the original tomorrow with nothing but my buddys voice that sounds like he is making a commercial LOL
@correllwl You should watch for the red flag flights out of Eielson. I think I remember going right when the northern lights ended, must have been about this time.
582.. so far no issues! 370 hrs on one engine and 224 on another.
the "pond" I landed on is 253' long
1260's, never on amphibs. If I were to buy another set I think I would go for 1220's. Easier to rotate with shorter tails.
Thanks for the advice!

65 HP 582? Or mod?
My 65 HP Kitfox 2 with 1260's takes 1200 feet of water to hop.....
Maybe I need to check my power output?
yep, no problems with wet grass.
How many feet are you averaging for take-offs/landings on those bad boys?
is that a rotax a 912 or a 582, and how is the reliability?

so can you land on flat ground ???
wow! Great! Thanks for posting this!
What is the engine

Alaska
@schmupsiMN
1200 is way too much, check how they are rigged. She does better on the 1450's, but 1260 were OK.
