Adam, I have been a United fan for over 50 years and when we were winning titles and Champions Leagues we had 4 strikers like Yorke, Cole, Sheringham and Solskjaer and we are TRYING to compete against teams that are scoring for fun with a young guy who has the whole world of pressure on him and a new signing of Zirkzee who is an attacking midfield player NOT a striker. Ineos have done exactly what I have wanted for 3 years in clearing out the crap but while they are talking about 70 million bids for a third rate defender in Branthwaite rather than getting a second striker. We need 4 NOT 2. Oh how we need a new Chicharito or Ruud or a Van Persie. It is frightening how far away we ACTUALLY are!!!!
Adam I agree we don't score enough but I'm sorry for me there is no Ten Hag system or any system with this team. Ten Hag has most of his players on this team whether signings or his promoted youth so for me there is no excuses about why he doesn't have a system in place.
I still say Rashford isn't good enough and just needs dropping. At least he took him off yesterday. He just needs to go ASAP. That is only part of our problem.

Its pretty simple folks: You have to make substitutions, and we only have the players we have at the club. He gambled with McTominay to grab a goal and it didn't work out. Unfortunately, some of our substitute options are players we actually want out of the club, so they're only there because we haven't gotten rid of them.
Its not gonna look pretty for a few more transfer windows.
Unfortunately, everything will fall on the manager, even when plenty of it doesn't have anything to do with him, and he might not get enough time to see out his vision.
But, lets face it: we have no fit natural leftback, we have Rashford on his final chances to correct his form, no fit true #9, an aged Casemiro, Maguire starting until De Ligt is fully match fit, and that was just today.
Our squad still needs plenty of improvements and replacing.
I know this is a very bland and repeated comment, but, we need to stop starting Rashford.

We have an ordinary squad and an ordinary coach. We also have expectations that we will not meet. So, eventually ETH will be dismissed. He already demonstrated last season that he cannot work around problems. I anticipate an Ollie-like final season where things go from bad to worst.

Ten Hag wanted these new players and yet he doesn't play them. He plays Maguire and benches De Ligt. Why buy De Ligt? He doesn't start Zirkzee and plays the false nine. It worked in one game, the FA Cup, so Ten Hag thinks it will work every game. Why buy Zirkzee? He takes out Bruno toward the end and puts in the Dummy just because he scored a couple late goals last year. Bollucks! He blames everyone and everthing except himself for the losses. I have said it for a year that the manager is in over his head in this league and needs to go.
