  • Path Ex, a small business funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), is developing a device to remove pathogens from blood.
Path Ex’s device can selectively remove pathogens and treat drug-resistant bacteria and endotoxins from circulating blood, which could be used in the treatment of bacteremia and sepsis.
Path Ex is supported by America’s Seed Fund powered by the NSF, a $200 million per year program that awards research and development grants to small businesses and startups, transforming scientific discovery into products and services with commercial and societal impact.
