Dr. Ambreen Sayani (Scientist at the Women’s College Hospital, Toronto) and colleagues presented their project on Equity Mobilizing Partnerships in the Community (EMPaCT), an award-winning, spreadable and scalable participatory citizen engagement model that was co-created to centre the voices of diverse community members and build capacity for inclusive and impactful partnerships that promote health equity in Canada. EMPaCT has co-developed a process to translate the lived/living experiences of community members into a structured Health Equity Analysis (HEA) that produces tangible recommendations to promote health equity.
