I'm a big believer in practice what you want to get better at but in matches do whatever you have to do to win. I've seen players, and have been guilty of it myself at times, think "oh long serve? Let me loop every long serve like Ma Long would do." as they proceed to lose 11-6.
In practice, sure practice attacking long serves. But if in a game if you're hitting 20% on your opponents long serves that you're attacking, you'd be insane to keep giving them free points and not adjust. Perhaps step back, take something off your attack, slightly fish it on, chop, etc. Find something that works.
You'd be amazed how on the amateur or intermediate player level the better chopper or pusher or simply a more consistent player wins 95% of the time which is far different in the pro level where all those guys are super consistent and the player with better technique, more power & spin will largely win. It just isn't like that for the 99.9% of us out there who are not pros.
Very good, tôi rất thích kiểu giao của Werner Schlager
Oh. good teaching for long serve.
That's what i need
I think very good combins long servise and short servise !
I cannot get the mechanics of this fast and underspin serve from his angle. It's a beauty.
Coach Emrathic together with Wen Ting, I would like to thank you a lot because of the Summer Sports in China 2021 China Table Tennis College and the Shanghai Sports University, i have attended and soon will finished this month of July 6, 2021. I have learned a lot of techniques and also the Chinas Culture.
Thank you very much. Can you update and share your experiences here about what you have learned?
@@pingsunday Yes of course, it is not only what we are thinking that playing Table Tennis is just an easy game or sports but we need to have also statistical analysis if a player is at very good, good or not good in that level.
@@pingsunday there so many tactical analysis could perhaps almost the same with your previous videos regarding with the receiving, timing, the racket position or angle. The power of the shots and many more that when i am comparing with your tutorials is almost the same.
@@ramstvgytchannelnewsupdate143Can you tell how to do forehand topsin if they taught you in the summer china camp thank you
@@VishnuGupta-pb5pe if you want to know how to forehand topspin, just search the video of coach Emrathic about forehand topspin, they are almost the same in terms of techniques.
In my opinion it is much easier to return services if you have a spinny backhand. It works for long and short services.💪
good
i also use long serves often because it is possible to put more spin in them and the rubber also reacts more to it because of the deeper impact. what i often see when people try to return fast underspin serves from a sidespin motion is that even though they notice the underspin their muscle memorie makes them topspin the ball into the net.
Problem of that boy is mainly in his position, especially of hand holding his racket :( It is very difficult to receive this kind of serve (well to be honest, any serve), if you keep your racket under the table, when your opponent starts serve! Well, step back, keep good position, and focus on serve motion!! Good luck next time :)
Hi coach, if i try topspin very fast on a backspin ball will it still go over ? thanks
Depends on your topspin obviously, Ma long can do it.
👍👍

Unfortunately, in this video I did not find information on how to take a long and fast serve. But there is a lot of talk about how good this serve is.
There are 4 tips that I have explained in another video. Please search "long serve pingsunday"
For table tennis ,it would be still better to learn from Chinese player
Primorac or schlager carbon blade?
Schlager Carbon blade. As Coach told the core is a little bit thicker than the Primorac Carbon and also the outer furnitures are slightly thicker. I played both (when I was young) and the Schlager C is a little bit faster, thicker and heavier than the Primorac C. Same Carbon layers! But as the Schlager Carbon is quite rare you can't buy it today while the Primorac Carbon is still sold by Butterfly, Schlager Carbon not.

That kid will hate table tennis from now on, after receiving those serves.
Always tricky to return.
