It’s nice to know that you’ll have plenty of light to find the teeth you’re going to be snapping off with that crowbar technique.

      Thank you for the comment.
Your teeth concern is well taken. Manikin simulators don’t show this well as they have all been created for traditional laryngoscopes. This TruCorp difficult airway manikin is tough. Most cannot intubate using a video laryngoscope when using it.
Please view the link below re the teeth. It’s a non issue for the Vie Scope as we can even avoid the teeth using it by the paraglossal approach…on either side of the mouth.
When intubating a critical care airway patient in a prehospital setting, our aim is first pass intubation success. Fortunately we don’t have teeth issues either.
Please try it when you have an opportunity and you will then understand how it works

Every time I watched them doing it, I was waiting for the dummy to break

and it does not. watch a CC-P fail with what he uses every day, fail at DL, then what? czcams.com/video/Q55bw1ktQ-A/video.html

Will not help with a “difficult” airway…video laryngoscopy is still KING.

I tried that out and would never want to use that in everyday practice, sorry.
Number 1: After laryngoscopy and bougie insertion, the Vie-Scope needs to be removed, which means the provider will have no more view and needs to advance the tube "blindly" over the bougie. If any obstruction occurs, I want to see what the problem is instead of fiddling around.
Number 2: Surely not the right device for patients who need permanent airway clearing during intubation (SALAD technique).
Number 3: It's single use. Not just the blade (illuminated tube), but the entire device. Imagine the costs for a single intubation plus the waste (including batteries). Moreover: even the training Vie-Scope (!) comes as a single use device without any chance to change the batteries. While I do see the advantages of single use devices in EMS (such as BVM or a laryngoscope blade), why would I want to produce an unnecessary amout of (problematic!) waste instead of just having a disposable blade?
Personally, I would never want to trade a video laryngoscope for that. And neither would any of my colleagues who also tried that product.

there are many studies you can read, here is a CZcams video the shows it too, 5 year VL user fails, then DL fail, then never nails it in seconds on this difficult airway Manikin. czcams.com/video/Q55bw1ktQ-A/video.html and here is a Doctor with 20+ years experience, and uses this VL everyday, Fail, and FPS success with the First pass success with VIe Scope czcams.com/video/K6_F65PWujk/video.html let me know if you want to try the Vie Scope for yourself, compare it to what you want, and see if it fits you for a difficult airway device, or a front line device.

Horrible video showing improper technique that will harm the patient.
