Miami Vice was and still is the best TV show ever. Don Johnson and PMT were born to play Crockett and Tubbs and together they made TV history ❤

I must agree. Miami Vice was definitely the Coolest show ever. But for me it wasn't the Style (though I did rock that a bit as a teenager). It was the MUSIC! It was also how they used the music to enhance the drama. I recently re-watched that first episode. That scene with Crockett and Tubbs driving along, 'In The Air Tonight' playing, gave me chills.....AGAIN. Freakin' 40 years later. There were many other great moments like that throughout the show's run, but that one still tops them all.

Also try and CZcams the MV episodes using songs like red rain by Peter Gabriel, brothers in arms by dire straits, nobody’s perfect by Mike and the mechanics and sweet sixteen by Billy Idol. Unmatched coolness

Got another one. Russell Ballard's song Voices used in Season 1, Episode 5. As Tubbs and Crocket are traveling the seas headed for the Caribbean, along with the flashbacks. Those two speeding along in that boat with that song was awesome.

Just try and name a show that is "cooler" than Miami Mother Fuckin Vice. Better shows...? Sure, but nothing has even come close to the cool factor. I wasn't even old enough to watch it back when it was coming out, I was maybe 35 or so when I first went back to watch the whole series on stream, and it was highly entertaining. It just has something that other shows don't. It's almost in its own genre by itself.

And I believe that’s precisely why it’s one of the few shows that didn’t get rebooted. The style and attitude was very time-relevant. Coolest show ever; no doubt!

Very well said and done gentlemen. Love your discourse on this. Keep up the great work. I had to watch the movie several times and it grew on me. It took time to adjust. Michael Mann went through the looking glass as far as shows on television in my o[pinion. Form instance how many people today go through the airport and play"take me home" in their heads?

I or rather my mum, used to get all the catalogues from Littlewood's etc.....they used to have a "teen" fashion section, below adults but above kids........it was full of pastel coloured jackets for teenagers. Seemed cool at the time but I thought i was in a John Hughes movie on my council estate at the time.

The band Fashion, White Stuff... Godley & Creme, Cry... Dolce Decorum by The Damned, Boys & Girls by Bryan Ferry, How Much did you get for your SOUL- The Pretenders... where does it end ?
Benicio Del Toro, Michael Madsen, Steve Buscemi, Gene Simons, Frank Zappa,
And Vaper Wave is kinda fake. In reality it was more pastel colors that ruled the eighties and towards the tail end very bright colors or a mix of both.

That’s a hat added to the realism. Back then protagonist were portrayed as invincible and flawless and always in the right. Crockett was almost an anti-hero and that’s what added depth and substance

@@khaledyafi449 What I was more referring to is he applied different morality rules to his partner Tubbs than he did for himself. He was really preachy toward Tubbs in the first two seasons. He then went on to be a vigilante in a few cases later on when he got on Tubbs' case for it. He was an asshole.
