    Take a closer look at your own video examples. When you use a telephoto adapter the depth of field doesn't change because you haven't changed the relative distance between the camera and all the objects in the frame. What you actually see is a narrower field of view along with a more compressed background. The background blur remains identical to without the adapter. Because of lens compression the background objects that are slightly out of focus appear relatively larger, making the background blur more apparent, even though blur remains the same.

    Excellent, as ever, Rob. That last ‘before and after’ comparison scene speaks volumes about what’s possible with a relatively inexpensive rig. Great content and a noble mission to spread the word!

      Thanks so much Pat! Yes I thought the extreme comparison was an interesting one to show.

    I use the Galaxy 22 Ultra with the Beast Grip lens portion removed because I have a 62mm frame that fits over all 5 cameras. Currently only using it for ND filter

      Hey Robert. I'm sporting the S21 Ultra. Do you mind sharing what frame you're using to cover all cameras?

      @rrosen1 Před rokem +1

      @Myalism Films I believe it's the Moment and the size is 67mm. I think I got it at Adorama

    Thank you, thank you for your review! I’ve been looking for this review for sometime. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and I’ve been wondering whether or not I could use it with a bee cage and a case. I bought a set of shift cam lenses and I’ve been looking to find out whether not I could use his cage.obviously now I know I can use it. And I’ve been looking for a video to show it. Thank you very much for demonstrating your technique. And good luck with your channel.

    What do you think of the Weebill 3S in comparison is this the new version? Can it be used for mobile videography? Great Videos by the way just found your channel subscribed.

      @SmartphoneFilmmaker  Před 4 měsíci

      Hey. Thanks! I would say if you are using a smartphone then the first Weebill s is all you need. A hybrid gimbal can’t properly connect to your smartphone features so you don’t need the newest gimbals really.

    I cannot find anywhere that sells this cage or add on lenses, how did you get them to order?
    Awesome video mate I definitely need the bundle!

      Thanks! EBay is good if you are in the UK otherwise Amazon sometimes has these. Failing those options it would be through the individual company websites.

    I use a Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra, looking for a good microphone that is Wireless possibly Bluetooth would be the best that I can use while conducting interviews and using the phone for video I'd also like recommendations for a good tripod and recommendations for a good gimball for this setup 😊

    • @SmartphoneFilmmaker
      @SmartphoneFilmmaker  Před rokem +1

      I only use the Rode wireless go at the moment so I couldn't recommend a bluetooth mic but I'd honestly look to spend £80-£100 on a decent tripod as as I have bought cheap ones in the past but they always break if used a lot. Gimbal wise, that really depends on if you are looking to use external lenses ect.

      @@SmartphoneFilmmaker I just picked up a tripod and mount and also a zhiyun smooth 5s Gimbal for my S22 I'd like to get the beastgrip and some lenses I'm getting into more event coverage and need options and I do interviews so any advice

    How do you connect a mic and power to the beastgip?

    • @SmartphoneFilmmaker
      @SmartphoneFilmmaker  Před 3 měsíci

      If you have an adapter with multiple sockets for your accessories then you can connect everything together. I think Belkin are the make for that adapter.

    Hi Rob, what do you think is better? Beastgrip Pro or the Cage? Are both can carry same expansions, like SSD, mics, Lights, etc. How far can we rig the Pro vs. the Cage? Been confuse which one to take if Pro or the Cage.

    • @SmartphoneFilmmaker
      @SmartphoneFilmmaker  Před 5 měsíci

      Hmmmm. Good question. I haven't used the cage but to me the rig is pretty easy to use handheld whereas you'd need to buy the extra handles for a good handled experience with the cage.
