- In this reaction video I watch the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 story trailer that was revealed at San Diego Comic Con 2023 for the first time! Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is releasing on October 20th, 2023 and features our favorite characters: Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and MJ as well as new characters: Kraven, Venom, and Harry Osborne. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will be releasing on PlayStation 5!

I was _not_ a fan of Peters’ face change, but I honestly think he looks better here than he did in the remaster/Miles Morales.
They definitely tweaked it a bit to get it just right!

With Mr. Negative also being in the game I wonder if maybe at some point or maybe in the next game we get Anti-Venom because it's due to his powers and interaction with the symbiote that he is created in the comics.

The game is going to be one hecka of fun and exciting to play as both spiders for the Halloween month 😄 I just wonder what they are going to do with Mr Negative in this game as he look concerned when Miles confront him.

As someone who's played both versions of the first Spiderman (the original PS4 and the subsequent PS5 remaster), as well as both versions of Miles Morales (I got the PS4 version at launch, and when I scored a PS5 in the summer of '21, I got the upgraded version), I'm replaying both in anticipation of the new game.

I like Peter’s new face. I remember a ton of people hating the 2018 face (me included), and then when they changed the face, everyone loved it 😂

The thing about these Spider-Man games which I love is that it changes so many things that are in the comics.
Like in the comics Harry is not Venom and The Tinkerer is totally different.
So we have no idea what is going to happen in this Spidey universe.
Hell we haven't even had Green Goblin in this universe yet.

I think they should do a poll on what Peter Parker face they should go with. Most people I know prefer the old one rather than the new one they went with.

There were moments in this trailer where the graphics fooled me into thinking I was watching a MOVIE trailer. That's how good the graphics were.

I totally agree with you. Something about Ben Jordan's character model just doesn't fit. I'm not blaming him, I just think he's miscast. This is supposed to be an older Peter but he looks 13 years old in every shot.

Both Pete's Symboite Spider Suite and Vemon himself look amazing and to have Harry become Vemon is a cool twist .
Makes me wonder how Pete and MJ are going to deal with their best friend as a bad guy.
The symboite corruption of pete will mean thar both MJ and miles will have to work together to save pete from himself.

Well, in the comics Pete didn't have a "downfall". He got a little dark and went just a bit too far doling out the justice but didn't kill or permanently maim anyone. In fact he heroically figures out what is going on and takes care of Venom himself. I have no idea about what will happen in the game but I don't think the person that ends up being Venom is the same as the comic. I think if you played the first one you can figure who it will be.

That’s definitely what I thought!
Venom might internalize Harry’s desire to heal the world and twist it while acting with a new host. This is for sure a red herring. I don't think Harry will be Venom.
