I agree that the temporary tattoos would make sense as part of a sub box or like a freebie gift with purchase. I love the typewriter & bee too (can't decide on sizes) and the book & typewriter stamps.
I sometimes get temporary tattoos for parties. I leave out a selection and people have fun trying them out. There are some very intricate and beautiful ones out there. They can be really fun, and maybe that's what A&O are going for. As for what I'm getting... I'm going to be away from my computer at 10 am, so I might have to see if my husband will get me at least one bee notebook and some of the acrylic stamps. And maybe the typewriter washi, although the stamps are much more tempting. But I agree with you, this is a great collection. And happy birthday!

Orange blossoms make the best honey! We in Orange Patches love bees and they provide the sweetest oranges. That’s probably why there are orange blossoms included. Edited to add: this is the first collection in a WHILE where I’m excited about the drop. I might need the typewriter and books collections.
I love the library card stamp especially. I've been using the library card memo pad from that sub box when I read anthologies to list out the story names and mark which ones I like or love (because otherwise I will never remember, especially if they're by authors I don't already know), and I'll love being able to make more of them/make them in different colors.
I’m all in for the Bees 🐝 and typewriter notebooks! The orange 🍊 blossoms are a representation of Orange Blossom Honey 🍯 hence the correlation to the Bee theme. Love the stamps too!! I love the A&O is so popular and am excited about this release, but the fact that you have to get on the website right when things launch and checkout makes for a not fun and, frankly, stressful shopping experience. I am not sure what the answer to that is, but I don't think buying journals should cause anxiety.
You can use temporary tattoos in a notebook if you just use a slightly damp cloth and the A&O paper would hold up with it. Think kinda like those vellum scrapbook rub ons.

My budget can only handle one of these releases at a time! So, the sub box is going to end up winning - I'm avoiding all spoilers at this time. I will sit this one out since I still have tons of unused notebooks! But I love that bee design ugh so beautiful. I find that the large icons on A5 cover look a bit weird, I prefer the usual size - wish they could size the icons to fit the size of the notebooks! Not going to fight you this release. But only because I know the notebooks will be available in the Netherlands mid May. Saves me a lot of extra costs. Getting the typewriter, either in TN or A5. Maybe the bee as well. Only have to decide if I want some of the accessoires… shipping is usually less for these, but I think A&O stickers and stamps are quite expensive.

It’s definitely not something a lot of adults do, but you’re right on the celebrations idea! Similar to getting your face painted at a carnival or getting a stamp on your hand when you attend a concert or other fun event or venue.
I am looking forward to the notebook with the herbs on it to document my herb gardening journey. I honestly don’t think I will do much with the accessories so I will skip on those. I have so many accessories that just sit there watching me draw with my simple ink pen. I WANT to be fancy, but I honestly just like drawing and writing with the things I have in my pencil case. I like stuffing it in my bag and taking it outside on my walk so I can sit by a tree and doodle or write.

Hey Mark!! Since you use archer and olive so often, have you ever used anything to protect them from getting dirty? I know they have covers but was curious if you have ever heard word of using odicoat on the linen? It is used in the sewing world to make fabric waterproof. I will be getting my archer and olive order Wednesday and plan to try it. Let me know your thoughts.... ps LOVE THE NEW PODCAST! I was so excited to see you guys were doing that. I haven't thought about temporary tattoos in quite a few years (as I've been busy collecting the more expensive real ones LOL), but just this weekend my friends and I were on a trip in New Orleans and used a ton of leftover Mardi Gras temporary tattoos just because they were there🤣 Not sure that I'll need these particular ones, but I'm into so many of these other new items!!

It’s still the same 160gsm paper. I think that after a some layered pages it might get a little thick - but who doesn’t love a thick notebook filled with goodness?
I'm torn between the flowers and books and the bees. Definitely getting some stickers (books/flowers and the botanist ones and maaaaaybe the bee ones, I'll see!). Hadn't planned on getting washii tape but the botanist box looks really beautiful! It's hard! It's such a beautiful collection!

I've started a bit of a full cover page collection in B5 and square (staring with some of the Halloween full cover ones - I hope they start making those in square as well!), so I think I'll get the Bee in both sizes. I'd like a typewriter and a book stack, but I'm I'm still trying to figure out sizes. Maybe square for the books for a reading journal and B6 for my travel writing/word count tracker for the typewriter (I love the design of that one, but not the color unfortunately or I'd probably get it in multiple sizes). I'm trying to keep things reasonable, but I do like a lot in this collection!
