American Graffiti: A Production Disaster

Before George Lucas had success with Star Wars he made American Graffiti, the coming of age film based in the 60s with an emphasis on cars. Although successful both critically and at the box office, the film was extremely difficult to make. No company wanted to produce it and once picked up it was a mess to film.
Crew members got arrested and run over, and someone even lit a motel room on fire. The production of American Graffiti is one interesting story.

Came here because I'm a huge AG fan and I have to call out your disingenuous statement about researching this information. You merely watched the directors cut edition and repackaged the facts Lucas told the interviewer. "F" for effort buddy. People go watch the directors cut for yourselves.
