Sierra has one of, if not the most stunning voice I have ever heard in all my life. The depth and emotion she portrays through body language, facial acting and vocal talent is more than I could ever dream of. ♥🌹
Two incredible actresses and singers. Singing incredible songs, from incredible musicals. I refuse to choose.
What a great opportunity to listen to two legendary songs! Thank you 🙏🏻 😊
I have shivers all over my body listening to these songs, however Sierra is unsurpassable.
I do love how both actresses were able to convey emotion WITHOUT crying and therefore destroying their singing. Got chills. Beautiful talented women❤❤❤
Such vastly different songs. One has Fantine lamenting the hard life she has now vs the life she thought she would have. The other has Christine mourning her beloved father. As a daughter who misses her own wonderful dad terribly, Wishing will forever hit on a different level that I Dreamed a Dream. Plus, Sierra is such a stunningly talented singer and actress!!
PHANTOM ALL THE WAY!!!!! ❤❤❤
Not comparable. The first is an historic musical, the second is English opera . Each beautiful in their own right.
Well an English operetta would be more realistic
Jesus loves you ❤️ 💖 💕 💗 💓
Well, technically Webbers ‘Phantom of the Opera’ is actually a Musical, not an Opera. The STORY is set in an Opera House, the CHARACTERS of Christine and Carlotta are Opera Singers, but the Show itself is a Musical for a number of reasons.
Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again 100% - I do love both songs, but Sierra Boggess just does it for me. I’ve listened to her dozens of times but I get shivers all over my body every single time
💞you can't compare, both things are so beautiful you'll cry and both ladies can sing really fantastically, but with different songs a comparison is not possible at all and the themes behind them are completely different. I love both musicals and both songs very much, even though I can sing along to every note, these songs are always an incredible event.... 🩷🩷🩷
(sorry for my bad English, I am from Germany)
Don't make me choose between the two performances, they're both incredible!
My Angel of music🥰🥰🥰
Fantastic musical and amazing voice ! ❤
Ann Hathaway did a really good job in the film. Live singers are obviously really talented but when we get them in close up the actors who can sing seem to stand out. No one beats Sierra. Beauty and voice. Perfection!
Both shows are set in France and from producer Cameron Mackintosh
VERY NICE VOICE AND SONG I LIKE IT A LOT THANK S FROM FRANCE A +
I’m going with wishing you where somehow here, it really strong song and show the powerful song.
Великолепные баллады! А выбирать какая лучше... это без меня)))
Sierra hands down!! I didn't know ho the other actress is but she has a beautiful voice
I Dreamed a Dream!! ❤ Les Miserables will always be the greatest.
Randy Graff from the original Broadway cast of Les Miserables is still the ultimate Fantine...love her on the cast album.
Les Mis ❤❤❤
I love both songs but Sierra's vocal talent wins for me. 6:03
Sierra is way way better... The way she plays Christine is impeccable and that song is so beautiful that there is no contest
I agree. somehow I thought the first singer was a bit too dramatic, extending her notes at the end of every line way too long.
@@sunsioux444Generally the way “I Dreamed a Dream” is sung nowadays gets me disappointed. This might be a hot take, but I really like Anne Hathaway, who is raw and emotional, but not dramatic. Also “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again” is just much more powerful, especially with Sierra singing.
The song itself or these particular performances? Performance: Sierra no contest (ETA: one thing that takes away is the dead pixels on the grave). Song: I'm still salty about my score in Solo-Ensemble freshman year on "Wishing..." but I've heard it and seen it performed live far more times than "I Dreamed a Dream" and they are both beautiful songs. I'll have to go "Wishing..." because of the emotions the actors have portrayed in the varying productions I've watched and seen. Shout out to Lea Salonga in the 25th production as Fantine after playing Eponine with a great "On My Own" in the 10th anniversary!
I give the nod to "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" (despite a couple of too-high notes); although technically "I Dreamed A Dream" was flawless in voice and quality, I didn't get the same pang in my throat and gut as "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again".
If it’s who gave the better performance here aka Singing and Acting ability…then it’s Sierra, hands down no question!
If it’s between the songs themselves, I think ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ is actually the more heartbreaking song in the context of the greater story.
I mean ‘Wishing’ is about Christine mourning the death of a parent, which is a pain that we will ALL have to face someday…but the song is very much about moving through that pain and learning how to let go, because life has to go on, one must keep living.
I Dreamed a Dream is about Fantine saying ‘my life is over’ basically, she sees the writing on the wall of where she is headed and she’s basically giving up on her dreams and resigning herself to the fact that their is no way out of this hole for her…it’s completely heartbreaking in the show when done right.
Les Mis
Sierra
Cant compare this to songs
I prefer sierra's brcause shes si good at expressing the character and i love her voice and although i like carrie's theres no comparing to sierra. Shes the best christine!!!
Did you know that Les Miserables was based around a real rebellion in France. It was the June Rebellion in 1832.
Sierra was fully in character and acting out the scene. A much more powerful performance!
No contest Phantom all the way practically anyone can beat Carrie

If you picked a different I dreamed a dream singer this would be a tight race but, you went with the weakest singer for I dreamed a dream.
Yes, I agree
@@sunsioux444@sunsioux444 I watched that Les Mis performance on Prime Video (I brought it) every time I am about to do something scary or celebrate something. When she sings, why pick her for this role? Why not pick somebody else? But the Éponine they chose for that show has a killer voice.
@@marvellover2 thank you for the info. I am wondering if I can buy Phantom of the opera 25th year celebration with Ramin and Sierra?
@@sunsioux444 sorry but not falling for that.
