I worked on this show, and I'm so glad you pointed to the chase scene in Episode 7 as an example of high quality visuals. I actually did a lot of animation for that scene!! Also, there's a reason the show might remind you a bit of Archer: they're both made by the same studio!

The car scene with all 4 characters in the police car. When one character said something dark and ask if it was too dark then one character said "ehh" I knew it was from the same studio without looking it up. That was a nice reference. There was a few other ones, but that was the main one that stuck out the most for me.

It's kind of weird how there's basically zero marketing for these Marvel Hulu adult animated shows. Obviously Modok didn't work out but I'm way more into this stuff as opposed to exclusively Disney+ type stuff. Thanks for making this, I def wanna check it out now.
One of the best shows recently binged it in like 4-5 hours I couldn't stop
Hulu's boss recently came out and said it had no control over the renewal of these shows, and marvel had already canceled 3 other animated shows and I think 4 live action shows that were supposed to air on hulu.
I don't blame them for not marketing them because they don't have a future on the platform, but this show was great!
I actually only found out about it because I saw an ad on twitch
nah id rather it be on disney plus so i dont have to buy 10 different subcriptions to watch some shows i like instead id rather them be in the same place
I have seen no one really talk about it, and it's pretty sad that Marvel barely promotes any project that is not from the MCU.
Some MCU stuff doesn't get promoted either, I don't remember hearing anyone talk about the Cloak And Dagger series.

First time I actually got excited for a Marvel animated show. Don't know why but the moment I saw Lady Bullseye in the trailer I was sold. Binged it the day it came out. Wasn't disappointed one bit. Really hope this gets a second season

After so long, Marvel is back to making an iconic animated series like it used to. I mean, it's nothing like the other great Marvel animated series, but that's the fun of it.

i personally never one of those people who thinks gore=good writing. however i pleased how this show has both just enough amount.
i really did enjoy the story's capability on emphasising how the cycle of violence works by showing the paralles between monkey's path and bryce's past while also embracing right amount of source material with the characters like fat cobra, lady bullseye, silver samurai etc.
I binged through Hit-Monkey so quickly it's a goddamn masterpiece.
Daniel Way's Ghost Rider run were pretty awesome too.

I've watched this show at least 4x so you did a great job! Idk which part of the show you worked on but everyone did their job and fucking killed it. It's one of my favorite shows and one that I love telling my friends about.

So much of this show was amazing. I remember when Bryce first admitted about having a daughter and the first thought to my mind was that he just banged a random chick and accidentally got a daughter. But no, he had a legitimate life and family before becoming a mercenary. I feel like it fleshed him out even more. I honestly really loved the show, like you said it’s not invincible great, buts it’s up there.
I was really surprised at Hit Monkey. It's proof that anything can be written well.
Basically curious George if he was John wick and the yellow hat man was a sarcastic ex assassin which is now a ghost...man I love how stupid this show is

I agree with everything you said man I love that this show wasn't lazy it had a ton of passion behind it and you can feel it in every episode I love that they included an obscure character like fat cobra who is one of the immortal weapons in the marvel universe like iron fist and hasn't been appropriately adapted into anything other than the immortal iron fist comics written by ed brubaker and Matt fraction with gorgeous art by David aja even lady bullseye was menacing and threatening and I love silver samurais brief cameo appearance I love that his not just used as a one dimensional villain for wolverine to fight like in every adaption of the character his a famous celebrity hero in Japan and I liked seeing that aspect of the character man it's something I haven't seen before
Having the one Yakuza guy consistently getting more injured the whole season, even when he was turning his life around had me laughing so hard and made me realize how much love was out into the show. Totally deserves another season. What are your thoughts on Peacemaker, I feel that both Marvel and DC making tv shows is a much better move than the big budget movies, at least for some characters.
This was supposed to debut on Disney+ here in Canada (among other non-US countries) back in November but it seems to have been delayed until January 26 for some reason. Hulu isn't available outside the US without a VPN so I'm not surprised it's flying under the radar right now. I'll definitely check it out in a few weeks!

Unless it's a word by word transfer of Steve Gerber's masterful run animated The Maxx style then there is no point. There's literally no other way to do justice to HTD (and no way to better it). In the words of Chuck Mcgill, marvel having the rights to Howard the Duck is "is like a chimp with a machine gun." It's a damn shame that Gerber never got back a character that was wholly his own.

I could not believe how good this was. Its like a mix of Primal (if you havent seen it watch it from adult swim)and Archer. I watched it with no expectations at all and I got nothing done around the house until this show was over! Whoever did this should be proud as hell of this show.

this show is incredibly special in that i watched expecting nothing and now its one of my favorite shows of all time, the style, the humor, the dialogue, the characters, the animation, its all so perfect. i desperately hope we get to see more of this show, its impossible to overstate how much i adore it

my headcanon is that lady bullseye had a peptalk with the girl while they were both in the bathroom, so now lady bullseye's ghost lives in her head like bryce's does with the monkey
Reminds me of Detective Chimp. A talking Chimp that is also the greatest detective is dumb and seems like a joke. But coming up with a back story of chimp drinking from Fountain of Youths making him immortal and he lived so long to develop a sentience and intellect pushes that concept to the realm of awesome.
Due to character arcs and developments, I’ll give this show another season.
Pleasantly surprised the series hit this hard. Sad to see not that many people taking about it. Hulu as a medium just isn't good for digesting and binging content.
If we couldn't get the animated Deadpool show, I'm at least happy we got this. I love it when passion goes into characters like this. Characters outside of the Spideys, Logan's, the Caps, and the Starks. I hope this show ends up getting love so marvel can see there's a market for characters outside of the A-listers
I sincerely hope this gives that previously cancelled Deadpool series a chance at revival.

SEASON 2 IS OUT?!! Gotta binge both seasons now.
This was my second Hulu show. I had originally just used it to finish Criminal Minds, but I was starting to long for something new. While scrolling through I found this show and remembered how intrigued I was when watching a trailer for it in a CZcams add. Also the image they have for the show on Hulu is just so badass. Popped on an episode before bed, and dude if I didn't have school that next morning, I probs would have binged the show right then and there. This show from presentation to story to action is SO badass! The art style really fits with it's gritty themes mixed with slight humor. I like to say the animation looks like a high quality Adult Swim show. And it was very noticeable in the first couple of episodes how choppy it was. But I did start to notice it less the more I watched. And the action scenes like GodzillaMendoza said, is probably where they REALLY put their budget and it shows.
TLDR, WATCH THIS FREAKING SHOW IF YOU CAN !

Though the animation was a little wonky I gotta say this show was great. It’s like archer set in the marvel universe which Is exactly what I wanted with that Deadpool cartoon. And I suppose this show is the closest we’re ever gonna get to that show.

Have you seen FX's Legion? based on David Haller (the schizophrenic estranged son of Charles Xavier) It's one of the best shows of the past decade (not just best superheroesque show, best shows period.) it's so wildly different from anything Marvel or Fox's X-Men have done besides maybe Wandavision and it's an absolute crime that nobody talks about it.
I guarantee mainstream Marvel TV will never portray a duel between telepaths as a dance battle or as a music video duet sequence featuring mixed live action and 2D animation.
I'll have to check this one out soon. Heard some good stuff about it. Maybe this week. Good vid as always dude!

What if we end up having an animated sub marvel universe on Hulu like with the Netflix verse with hit monke being the beginning and the rest of the shows being somewhere from kinda good but not faithful to the heart of the character to an insult to the character. And then a couple years later when Disney plus starts making animated marvel things (other than what if) everyone fights for hit monke to be cannon and then when the make the main villian of hit monke the villian of another show which retroactively ruins the end of hit monke

Just the initial synopsis of Hit Monkey as a character makes me think of an animal version of Frank Castle, in a way.
