Doohan always had an unmistakable riding style....
It is so cool seeing this old footage. I absolutely loved the 90’s for racing.
The Most Beautiful Motorcycle ever built on planet earth... still today ! 😌
What a wonderful time with those very special machines. Thanks for your comment Luke
what a great machine well ahead of its time, wish Honda had stuck with their geared cams, just for the noise alone it would have been worth it
Had a 87 VFR 700. Loved that bike. (actually still have it, but after 267,000 miles, it has valve damage. )
LA MEJOR MOTO DE RESISTENCIA JAMÁS CREADA.....
GRACIAS JAPÓN
PP-RC30
I used to have a poster of this bike with Doohan on board on my bedroom wall as a young teen.. Bikes became my life 🤙🏽
Cool! That’s great to hear. Awesome machines and amazing how hard they rode and raced them 🤟
Mick and Wayne best mates ever LOL
OKI bike, Nankai leathers, Doohan Arai, is this the best looking bike rider combo ever?
😋 2nd fav to my Kwacker KH400
Never heard an RVF like that before. That race was rigged: mere mortals were never going to compete with the Aussie dream team 😉
Dr mr Honda, why don’t you make good looking bikes anymore? If the RVF 750 or the NSR500 were in the show room’s for sale you would be struggling to keep up with demand , I’d have both even thought I couldn’t afford to ..I’d still have them
Where these the bikes that Hizzy ,Foggy and Joey campaigned at the TT in 91 ?
Think they used 1989 Spec RVF’s at the 91 TT. Similar or possibly the same as Hizzy & Foggy used to finish 3rd in this race, 1991 Suzuka 8 Hours.
@@dazmos_65 Were they the 2 RVFs with Silkolene sponsorship on the fairings? The colour scheme was a sort of hot pink/orange.
Nick Jefferies stated in a forum that those 91 Rvf bikes were the most exotic bikes to race the island
Don't know if this is true or just an urban myth. I heard that these RVFs were the best racing bikes that Honda ever made. None survive because they were all crushed on the orders of the factory. Why that was done (if it's true) I'll never know.
Good point! I think the culture then was never really to preserve much. Just focus on developing newer / faster machinery. Thankfully this version is kept at Honda Collection Hall, in running condition czcams.com/video/vKOdW7vhcpI/video.html
Those early 90s Hondas were gorgeous machines.
Can't deny you about that.
