- Locker Nuts episode 611
I picked up this storage locker at the auction for just a dollar, hoping to find treasure but only seeing a big piano, office furniture and dusty boxes. But whenever there are boxes, there is potential and in this second part to the series that proves to be true. Awesome finds!
This is part 2 of the "Stored since 1993" locker.

I was born in 1957 and I'll tell you what Jack, this locker was a walk down memory lane for me. I find it amazing what people store away, and you buy for pennies on a dollar. Thanks for all you do. Eight tracks in my car at 16, cb radios, on and on, cool locker!!!.
Ain't that the TRUTH ✌️🙏🙋👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
1952 here. Very delightful stroll. Thank you
1954
I giggled a lot when you were surprised by the fact that the person who once owned this unit kept “razor” sharp knife edges……I’m pretty sure that when you’re the proud owner of an antique grinding wheel, you have to maintain ALL your blade edges or lose your sharpener’s card! 🤪🤣
I absolutely love the episodes when you get so excited about what you are finding that you start “geeking out” and making entertaining comments! 😊
Qz
The TUIT coin was for use when someone says "I'll do it when I get around to it"..The last one I saw came from the DuPont plant in Belle WVa around 1960..I still have it.
Laughed when you didn't recognize the slide rule. We used them at school. Pre-calculator. I am that old!!
I might be wrong but, those stones worked with water. I believe that metal rod held a tin cup that dripped water onto the wheel so the stone stayed wet to sharpen axe heads and hatchet heads or whatever!!
Come on Jack! Use your noggin. You found a sledge hammer in the locker and you have a baby grand to dispose of! Put 2 and 2 together. LOL🤣🤣🤣 It will fit in the pickup then.
Totally agree!
That magnetic tape could be the master recording of the album Victory Traveler !!
The thing with markings like a ruler is a slide-rule. Used for various mathematical functions, and in wide use in schools before the advent of the calculator. I know because I had one when I was at school!
My brother won a contest in school using a slide rule. Late 60’s
I still have mine and use it 😊
Slide rules sell especially vintage!
Me too although I don’t think I could use one now 😊
The mason jar is an attachment to a vacuum, could be Rainbow or even Kerby, to shampoo your upholstery.
I was born in the 60’s this locker was a trip down memory lane. Wow😊
I'd cut that piano up before paying $450 lol
Use that sledge hammer and take it to the dump. Pay dump fee.
I agree but it’s a lot of work and jack rather just pays someone to get it done
It can sell for a few thousand
I started college in 1969, before calculaters, engineering students had to use sliderules to calculate. I chuckled when you didn’t know what it was, and sad that I was so old . Lol . I’m talking about the ruler like object in the sleeve.
I had to get rid of a piano once... yea its a nightmare... thankfully I posted for free on facebook marketplace and someone who had a piano business came and picked it up and used it for one of their students... thank goodness!
25:32 it is a starter pistol used in track and field, swimming, etc events
The brown round thing with wheels goes to a rainbow sweeper. The rainbow sweeper worked by having water in the bottom to keep the dirt trapped. No bags needed. I had one for over 25 years. They are great Also mason jars and the steel poles are for the sweeper too
We had one when I was a kid (70's). Recognized it right away. Very cool.
They still sell them. Best ever if you have a kid with allergies, all the dust and dander caught in the water.
The silver curved pipe is from the Rainbow too. Don't throw it away!
I thought for sure it was part of a Filter Queen. They have those parts too, not sure about the grate thing though.
Isn't the Mason jar a paint sprayer like the Kirby has? The other piece that you were trying to connect to the pipe is also a cleaning head.
Manfred Mann was popular in the sixties. They had a song called The Mighty Quinn (Quinn the Eskimo) that I just loved!
Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead recorded that song, too!
We had so much fun messing around on CB's, oh my! My hubs was Red Rooster, and I was Little Red Hen. We had a blast. We also had 8 tracks.i think we still have some, and I know for we have tons of cassettes and VCH's, CD'S I even have vinyls, Albums. I love music and movies.
The 2 horseshoes with the chain and ring is a puzzle. The ring will come off. You just gotta know how to do it 😉
Pretty Awesome Locker Nice Vintage Items Happy You Bought It Right That Piano Mover Took A Big Bite. Still A Solid Unit! All The Best To The Family! Be Well Be Safe & Stay Blessed.
I have to say I'm watching you I'd say a few years now and recently I noticed urself and even jenna have worked so hard and still are to improve ur business to get u up to a higher standard and profit from your business. I own my own hairdressing unisex salon with my boyfriend, I'm at ur stage a few months ago before you started getting better and better. How did u do it? Any advice? We don't have employees....love the videos 35k wow well done 👏 👍
The big scissors were used by my dad for edging grass. He called them sheep shearers.
For old software finds, especially big hauls of it, maybe reach out to a couple vintage computer/software CZcamsrs. Some of that stuff on their original discs goes for a surprising amount of money.
You must be very close to the same age as my son. He studied printing and publishing, too, having to learn (and buy tools for) the old ways just as most print houses were going digital. Certainly in the years he worked in the field he didn't use much of what he'd learned in school, but the the things he did have to use came in most handy!
Fun stuff, watching you geek out. :)
The steel tube and glass jar and insert is for an older vaccum cleaner sprayer attachment. RWP
I have seen those old pianos gutted and wood made into book shelves.
The velvet paint by numbers may have more value than you think . liked this video for it reminds of my grandfather!
So so cool. Thank you for sharing your video on this unit. I haven't seen a slide rule in a long time.
The "Scissors" that you found are hand shears for shearing sheep. I know because my father taught me how to use them. Great find. Love your videos. All the best from North Yorkshire UK. And Jack, what happened to the paint brush you used to use for the boxes
That's what I was thinking, I told him while I was watching the video. Of course, he didn't hear me. Lol!
@@cathifamjourney469glad I’m not the only one who talks to him while watching these videos lol!
Not sure if anyone mentioned it but that coin was a round tuit for when people say they will do something when they get around to it you give them that.
You are spot on with the lay out description of the print flats. I was in industrial printing for 34 yrs.
That was a really interesting locker. Enjoyed the way you went through it. Thanx
I just wanted to mention that i like this channel because you guys make it easy to keep track of episodes. Not only episodes are numbered but also you kindly mention what earlier episode is called.
Probably that spring thing is for the CB antenna.
Thanks for another great video Jack. Now up to 204k subscribers. Congratulations 🎉🎉
You should put those old floppies online. Might be some stuff worth money. Vintage computer is hot right now.
you're gonna have to take the garden fork to the hardware shop and ask for four candles.😄
I’d say list those records little at a time but like others have said the value will go down. Even with 20-30 bucks you’d still make alot
i was watching some of your older videos and came across the Man From UNCLE model kit. I bought it from you on a whatnot show! i resold it on my ebay store for @325 plus shipping. It was my first item I ever sold that was over $20. It inspired me to take reselling a little more serious. About a month later I was taken off work due to a disability with my diabetes, the income i was making from the ebay sore allowed me to buy my insulin in between the time of losing my insurance from work and gaining my disability benefits, This one sale genuinely saved my life. Thought you would enjoy hearing how you personally had a positive effect on my life, Thank you!
I sold floppy’s on eBay. I put them in a lot and they all sold right away. That was two years ago but I’m sure there’s still people out there that want those :)
I mentioned this in your last video as well, but that piano can be turned into a very cool bookshelf. Someone will be willing to pay money for that.
Awesome show Thanks 😊
at 45:40 looks like a vintage seal a meal, where it will seal the plastic pouches with whatever food you put in it so it can be frozen for a later date. There are some people out there that collect those 8 track tapes.
For us born in the late 50's and 60's this is a walk down memory lane!
The green kitchen appliance was one of the first seal a meals
The mason jar is for paint. 14:40 You use a vacuum cleaner and attach it as a spray gun. My dad and grandfather used one to paint a 1950 Ford F2 pickup back in the 1960's.
You and them dollar units..... Killer finds Best to ya Jack
Hi.YA.Tim✌️🙏🙋JACKS REAL NAME1$☝️💲 ONE DOLLAR JACK💲☝️
Wow I've loved this locker. Lot of work for you. x
That piano most likely had a huge brass plate. Would have been worth taking in for scrap
Wonderful finds!
I believe that spring thing is a antenna mount for a car.
“ I don’t know what I’m going to do with that piano”. You do have a sledgehammer….
1,000 comedians out of work, and you have throwing dad joke’s. Bullet joke, priceless.🤣😂
Watching this makes me want to sneeze 🤧the piano legs can make another piece of furniture
What a great , interesting unit. I loved it!
Your looking great man! Keep up the amazing content 👏
That Xanidu flyer for foam house is at Wisconsin Dells With the House on the Rock..Great place to take the family to see
You should have used the slegdehammer on the piano 🤗🤗
I enjoy watching your video's and Cool stuff you found :)
Jack that "cap gun" is actually a starting pistol that fires blanks great video all the best from the UK
Funny vid and I liked it. You tossed all the bags for the food saver and that large Apex reel is the master tape for that whatever travelers band. Lol.
Thanks for the entertainment.
So look forward to watching you go through these units Jack from Aussieland
I had that same model midland cb radio. Worked great, never had any problems with it
That cap gun is neat and so is the rest of the stuff!
Towards the end there was that horse shoe puzzle game. I was just watching another storage locker person's video and they had the same one in their locker and they showed how to take it apart. How funny. Always enjoy your videos.
My uncle was a welder and made many many of those horseshoe puzzles. Cousins and I used to compete to see who was the fastest to solve them. Memories.
Love your videos Jack!
The silver round thing is sort of a joke. My daddy gave me one when I was little, I said well what is it?? He said a round tuit, get it?? I looked at him so lost, he said you know when someone says yeah I will get around to it, well you hand them this and say now you have a round tuit. 😂😂
Yeah! Hope you get what you figured! You seem like a kind respectable person. And funny! I enjoy watching your videos!
Gun,police badge and chains. Somebody needs to check the man's basement. 😆🤣😂.LOL.
Living in California, is there not ever any use for those old appliances and old cameras and old games in the movie business? How would you go about finding your production companies that may be interested? Great locker!!!!
Keep singing Dude!! You are going to have to pay royalties!! LOL!! Loved the video.
Wow! This was a cool locker!!! I remember playing Pick Up Sticks as a kid. Those old large floppies make me wonder if someone collects those. Do they have the old computers to still see what's on them? I have one large floppy that has a simple computer game in DOS on it that I created in high school in 1980. I have no way to see it ever again. Thanks for the video!
Someone, somewhere has a computer and floppy drive, that can read them. 5.25 or 3.5 inch?
@@redwingblackbird8306 It's the larger one at 5.25
I loved Man from U.N.C.L.E. ! I even remember what it stood for 😆 hahahaha
Love ive love locker nut ....have acreat crimbo to you and you famly Janey 🤗🤗🤗🤗❤❤❤❤💯🤝🙏from across the high seas 🇬🇧
Looking forward to this treasure hunt!!✨☮️💜
The canning jar thing is not electroplating, it's s paint sprayer that attaches to the exhaust of a vacuum cleaner.
I had an uncle that worked for a very long time at Taylor Chain in Hammond as well as three of my aunts and I worked there for a short time after I graduated from High School.
Thankyou Mr Locker Nuts very random unit.
Jack, the long Pickett item is a slide rule. I had a bunch of those and some of them resell well.
I dig the graphics of the album at the end of the vid. I was considering going into graphic design when I was in college in the 80's. Ended up in health care instead.
Let us know what happens with the piano. Wow, up to 204 upon the writing of this comment. Woot!
Jack, I'm pretty sure you put two and two together on the Victory Travelers album artwork. That magnetic tape reel is also Victory Travelers. Just letting you know in case you missed it.
$1.89 for that 32 cal & I’ll pay the postage on top 😅😂 great video!
Enjoyed this locker a lot!! Seems like that grinding wheel went for cheap, but understand your need to move it.
Very cool. Like a trip down memory land for me.
Hahaha no wondehis knives n axe were razor sharp lol did you see the size of that grinding stone ? 🤣 What a great n diverse that locker was. N deffo worth having that piano dragged way. You still profited lot from that locker. Well done Jack for surviving those black widow nests n in the end your face looked a bit like it was I. Black n white lol. 👍🏻👏❣
you, your wife and your kids are lovely and have a big heart for the peoples i love your video good luck for futur unit
Yes the horseshoe ring combo is a puzzle/magic trick. I don't recall how to solve it though but I'm certain there's a CZcams video for that ,😂
Wow that bag from Hammond Indiana was my home town very interesting unit so far
Congratulations on your unit
The bore of a gun is the inside of the barrel (where the bullet comes out of) & a pitting can effect how accurate the gun will be. That's why you see people cleaning the bore after it's been used to keep it from pitting. I hope this helps.
I remember doing paste ups in commercial arts class back in 94-96, we were also just getting into doing work on a computer
Hoener's are the creme de la creme to harmonicas. Great find.
Don't you know Manfred Mann? Blinded by the light?
And... Quinn the Eskimo 😉
Hi, Thanks for helping me distraction to ignore the pain
I have to say that was a funky unit. LOL
The clear glass jar you thought was for electroplating is actually a shampoo attachment off a 50's Vacuum Cleaner...lol
Enjoyed all!!!
The last box may be for horses. Possibly for a harness
I live in Erie PA. Girard, where Marx Toys used to be at s near here so I loved seeing that train station toy. Marx closed years ago!
Looked like an old CB half wave antenna spring
Yes, I certainly did enjoy the box.
Very cool!
You made a comment at the end of the video and I got an idea for merchandise! I think you should make Clothing and other products with the quote, “I’m not crazy….. I’m LOCKER NUTS!” I think they would sell like hot cakes! 🎉💰💵
