@@Superknullisch You speak truth when you say whose "laws/commandments you never can live according to anyway." This is a point of the gospel, there is none righteous, no not one. And all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. So, the problem is that man's sin separated him from God. God is Perfect and to dwell in His presence for eternity, we must be perfect as well. How can us sinners become perfect? We can do nothing to save ourselves, any good we try and do falls short of perfection. The Bible calls our goodness as filthy rags to God. You can try as many do to be good enough, but this effort is in vain. Only if God makes a Way for us, can we be saved. Jesus, the Son of God, the Messiah, is Deity who became man, and took the penalty of our sin upon Himself, and has made the Way to restore our relationship. We were made, body, soul, and spirit, to have a relationship with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
This Book you call fairy tales has quite a history, and is the most printed book of all time. I recommend that people considering the validity of Scripture to check out on youtube, "10 Amazing Facts about the Bible that will Blow Your Mind". There are many ways for people to find evidence for the Truth of Scripture. But, it seems that first one should ask themselves, what evidence do I need for me to believe? The Bible says some people will not believe even if someone they know who had died came back to warn them. The Bible says that God made the world and everything in it. If this is true, then everything is evidence for a Creator. Can you have more evidence than everything?
So, what is the purpose of the laws in the Bible? They are a mirror to us, they show us our sinfulness, and that we need to be cleaned. When Jesus came, His death for our sins, His burial, and His resurrection provided salvation for those who believe in Him. It was prophesied that Jesus would be despised and rejected of men. And true love is seen in Jesus, who willingly laid down His life. An exchange happens, I give Him my sin, and He gives me His righteousness. Many people think they know love, but apart from God, it is not real love. We are generally selfish, and prideful, but at the cross, we must humble ourselves, and receive the free gift of God. We become born again, and life just begins. We then become the temple of God, as He comes to dwell in us, and be our Helper and Comforter and Guide to understanding the Scriptures of how to live. After being born again, we learn to love God, and to love our neighbors, even our enemies. We live knowing that death has no victory over us, for to die is gain. We learn to abide in Him, by abiding in His Word. There are many parts to life, but it starts by glorifying God, and caring about your own soul, then to reaching out to others in love. Love that we have because we have received love.
I have Scripture references for much of what I've written if you want Scriptural evidence.

@@gmc1413 Psalm 110:1, " The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand until I make thine enemies thy footstool." Written by David. Jesus asked the religious leaders in Matthew 22:41 - 46, "While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They said unto him, The son of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand until I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions."
The correct answer, you may have guessed, is that the Christ, Jesus, is the son of David, and the Son of God.
Hebrews10:12, 13 also relates to this point, and talks of Jesus sitting at the right hand of God. Ephesians 1:20 - 23 also states this.
And Philippines 2:5 -10 shows why, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Jesus glorifies the Father, and the Father glorifies the Son. We should glorify them as well, or do people choose to become an enemy of Jesus, and be His footstool? God gives us freedom of choice, who do you say that Jesus is?

      3. The "intelligent design" scientists manage to put their names on their books for sale BUT for some reason...they do NOT pay the same respect to the intelligent designer...who has a NAME...and THAT NAME is the NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES...THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

      5. Dr. William Dembski, would you be offended if the university you graduated from left your name off your diploma? You are entirely too educated to be sooo lacking in manners.
      6. Dr. Michael Behe, I love the idea you came up with in "Darwin's Black Box" for irreducible complexity. Did the evolutionists really go to court to have a judge rule against your excellent theory? Since when do scientists go to COURT to falsify an excellent theory? Instead of a mousetrap, have you considered a glue trap? Even fewer parts are needed...
      7. Come on, people. Science is based on HUMAN observation and HUMAN repeatability. Now, please tell me the name of the person who OBSERVED THE BEGINNING... ISN'T IT INTERESTING THAT THE Lord Jesus Christ (who knows everything, who is everywhere at once and who has ALL power) chose to give us the NAMES of the human parents we are all kin to...so that HE, too, would respect our wishes concerning science (HUMAN OBSERVATION and HUMAN REPEATABILITY).
      8. Are you following that if man doesn't know the NAME of the PERSON who observed the beginning and the beginning cannot be repeated in a lab, then the beginning (REGARDLESS of whether you believe in Darwin, the Big Bang, or Jesus of Nazareth as CREATOR) the beginning falls OUTSIDE the realm of SCIENCE...into another area...otherwise known as...FAITH!
      9. Usually, instrumentalists are told HOW to play a song. (Usually, it's Moderato, Adagio, Presto or whatever). However, I purchased the printed music for "Jurassic Park". No kidding. Instruction is given for HOW to play the song...and Jurassic Park is to be played...REVERENTLY...per Music Corporation of America, copyrights 1993 and 1998. Oh, hysterical!
      10. Come on, folks! Macro Evolution is NOT science; it is religion. And that religion is called...atheism. I can't speak for you, but I do NOT want Jesus of Nazareth, the Creator of the Universe and all that is within it as well as SAVIOR...to call ME...a FOOL. Psalm 14:1

@@heydani6678 I truly appreciate the civility and I do have many further questions. You seem like a good person so I want you to know that my curiosity has no malicious intent. I'm just curious about your thoughts on things, and as a religious person you can help me answer them. Ok! There's a lot to unpack from your response so I'll keep it to 5:
      1) If nothing can come from nothing, then where did god come from? Is it possible that maybe something can come from nothing, and it potentially could be our universe with it's laws of and consistency, or even potentially something like a god that could create the universe as we know it.
      2) It's human nature to assume everything has a function because we want it to have a function. Is it possible that the universe simply exists simply because it does? Much like a snowflake doesn't have any deeper meaning other than freezing particles in the air. We exist because we are fortunate enough to exist in a stable system, on a stable planet, and that it was merely happenstance that in the billions of galaxies, with billions of stars that a few of them could sustain life. We insist that there is a reason because that's what we always do.
      3) You make a point that Atheists deny all evidence because it is inconvenient to be a good Christian person. Do you believe that the scientists who are working to understand our body, world, and universe are lazy people? As many of the scientific community is non religious, and some even atheist I'm sure. It seems like it would be much, much harder to go to university, spend that money, study your buns off and perform, complete a thesis proving new ideas, get into a lab, develop studies, and finally get results that have been peer reviewed by people trying to prove you wrong the whole time. All while still not stealing or murdering or anything to harm another. Wouldn't it be easier to just agree with the Bible and the church telling you that you can have it all?
      4) You say that an atheist would still deny Christianity if it were true. But doesn't that defeat the purpose of what Atheism is? The fact that they believe the Bible isn't enough evidence to prove there is definitely and without doubt a one true Christian god. If that were somehow revealed to be unequivocally true, there would be no point in denying it. This one I ask because I am Atheist to an extent. I don't have all the answers, but I like science because it asks tough questions, where religion seems to give me shaky answers.
      5) Finally! Thanks for making it all the way down here. This one is a question not about what you have said, but about your moral character. In the Bible there are sections where people are asked by God to kill their family, or an entire group of people in genocide. Do you believe these people to have been just or moral in killing for God? Even when it specifically mentions targeting women and children? And, if god told you to do something as serious as murder your child, or neighbor, would you? Would you believe it was really him?
Thank you again for being available to ask questions to! I'm super curious and the thoughts and opinions of individuals that differ from my own help me create a more wholistic view of the world.

Right, all three here, like so many other young people today, sense there is a God because of the innate sense he placed into every single person that he is, yet want to fit in and be accepted in this naturalistic, new age-taught society that's been thrust upon them in our school systems for a couple decades now. So the end result over and over again is this mishmash of confusion... "Yes, a god exists" they all say, "but evolution occurred also... your God is evil, my god is happy with whatever I do..." They've all created a god of their own invention to accommodate their sin as a result of the modern-day elimination of the true God of the Bible, and thus hell is no longer a concern. Really scary stuff...

"We are God's." We are His by creation, by redemption, as well as by adoption; and we are called by Him to be His representatives here on earth. We are God’s children, it is by spiritual adoption that we become His sons and daughters, and we are to live in conformity to His will, representing Him in life and character.
Perfect conformity to the will of God is the condition on which eternal life is given.
    The apostle Peter writes:
"And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." 2 Peter 1:5-11

To what end, do you suppose that I might find wisdom in the writings of Dr Stephen Meyers that cannot be found in the Word of God?
It is a very rare thing today to find a minister of the Gospel who dares risk his reputation enough to express a belief in the literalness of the story of creation in the first chapter of Genesis. They are afraid that they will be thought "behind the times." Would to god that there were more men willing to be behind these perilous times, and not afraid to be counted fools for Christ's sake.
Men have become afraid to believe the word of the Lord, lest they should disagree with the philosophies of science falsely so called, which is but a legacy handed down from ancient heathenism, the power of the word has not been openly manifested. It has been given too little opportunity.
Christians pray for a revival of religion, but if they would simply revive belief in the simple word of God, and recognize it as a living thing, and as the source of all life and power, there would be a revival of religion. Let the Gospel be preached, not with wisdom of men, but in the words which the Holy Ghost teacheth; let it be set forth as the living, active word of God, and men will believe, and it will be seen to work effectually in those that believe.
There could be no more sure way to undermine the Gospel, and rob it of its power, than the substitution of the teachings of "Science falsely so called "for the simple word of God.
In these day's, God has been relegated to the rear, and is regarded as afar off.

@@michaelmakinney20 I don't know that we have a disagreement on the point that you are making, I think it is more a misunderstanding on the point which I have made, and to whom I made it. My first message is addressed to those who have received the Lord, not to those who have not.
And so I asked you the question: "To what end, do you suppose that I might find wisdom in the writings of Dr Stephen Meyers that cannot be found in the Word of God?"
I did not mean it to be snarky, and I am sorry if it came across that way, but I have little patience for those who will preach that salvation may be found outside of the Word of God, and that it the "end" to which I was referring.
If one wants wisdom, it can be found only in Christ, for He is wisdom, wherever there is life, wherever there is a created thing to be maintained in existence, there is God, and wherever God is, there is all wisdom. For Christ is the wisdom of God. (I Corinthians 1:24)
Those who wish to receive salvation have but one place to go for instruction on the matter, and I would be surprised if you would disagree with me on that point.
"Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." Rom. 10:17. The Word of God gives life to the dead; and life is salvation. "Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12.
For Jesus bears our sins, all sin, the sins of the entire world. Sin is in all flesh, and so Christ is come in the flesh. Christ is crucified in every man that lives on earth. This is the word of truth, the Gospel of salvation, and so it is to be proclaimed to all, without which, no-one may enter the Kingdom.
But I do believe that you err in thinking that by debating science with the unconverted, you might somehow be found faithful to the Word of God, for it is not possible.
The great lesson for us to learn is the reality of the light which God gives by his Word, and the positive assurance with which those must speak who have received that light. If all the philosophers in the world should unite to demonstrate that the sun is an opaque body, and that we actually receive no light from it, the most ignorant man in the street could say, "I don't know anything about your science, but I know I see;" and with that fact he could overturn all their theories. So the simple man whose eyes are opened to see "the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ," can silence every learned objection with the simple declaration, "I was blind; now I see." Doubtless few will accept the truth through his simple testimony; but he may be sure that those who will not accept it on such evidence, would not accept it under any circumstances. One thing that an unlearned man knows is worth more than ten million things that wise men do not know.

Sometimes I wonder why people start out believing in God, but then decide they don't. It kinda makes me think of the movie God's Not Dead with Josh Wheaton and Professor Radisson when Radisson quotes something from the Bible in Job and Josh asks what happened to him.
"When an 11 year old boy watches his mother dying of cancer, it's only natural that he begs God for her life. But when she dies anyway" (don't remember that next part).
      'Sometimes the answer's no.'
"Tell that to me next time you lose someone you love... That is why, Wheaton, you will find the most committed atheists were once Christians. But we took the blinders off, we saw the world for what it truly is."

You can have an even stronger argument because of
    1. Bodily interdependence. You need the brain consciousness nerves heart blood bones veins kidneys nose skin stomach mouth muscles reproductive organ etc all at once to survive.
    2. Environmental Interdependence. Our lungs need trees to take in our exhaled cardon dioxide to turn back into oxygen so humans and trees can survive.
Bees ect pollinate crops so there can be food to eat.
It takes more faith to believe in evolution than intelligent design, especially when you consider DNA being genetic information which has never been observed to be added to or pop into existence as a whole from non life in first place. Evolution is not science it's a faith.

You forget about the fact that humans or any other creature for the matter didn’t just evolve from nothing, we evolved from other creatures.
The basis of life as we know it are single cells organisms, and they evolved with time to suit better their environment.
We proved the basis of evolution, and we observed genetic change in organisms, both directly and indirectly.
We use evolution to create vaccines and in many more fields of biology and medicine, how can you claim that evolution is not scientific, when evolution is scientifically supported and used in scientific studies?

      @@user-nt7kc1tb4l God bless!
Lets be more specific I believe in Micro-evolution(adaption) but not Macro-evolution(speciation). I can agree that micro-evolution is scientifically based given we observe differences within species, but that doesn't imply macro-evolution to be scientific. It just could so be that God created species with the ability to adapt, which is not only consistent but also compatible with God's word. Science doesn't factor out God, neither does it confirm macro-evolution. Actually the basis of life is dna, information coded instructions, which information, coding, and instructions only come from a mind. I can claim that macro-evolution is not scientific, though so many presuppose it as truth, because science consists of things measurable, observable, and repeatable which macro-evolution is not. Reason being it's a faith of hoping God doesn't exist.
If you stumble upon a painting of a person would you think it reasonable to believe that it was developed by natural processes only or intelligence is responsible? Why not be consisted with real life forms? If explosions aren't known to create life but rather destroy, why not be consistent with orgins? If dna is information coded instructions which we know information, coding, and instruction is only developed by intelligence, why not be consistent with origins?
Here's my studies. If you disagree with any implication, please explain why it isn't implied. Thank you!
P1: If time/nature is infinite in past, then the past never ends.
P2: If the past never ends, then there can be no present and future.
P3: There is past, present and future.
C1: Therefore, time/nature is finite in past.
P1: Time/nature is finite in past.
      P2: Time/nature began.
P3: The first cause is timeless and immaterial.
P4: The first cause has no former influence.
P5: The first cause is uncaused.
P6: The first cause is voluntary.
P7: Where there is decision, there is a mind.
P8: Where there is a mind, there is personality.
C2: Who is personal and the first cause is our creator.

There is no difference between micro-evolution and macro-evolution besides time.
We observed the effects of macro-evolution using fossils and more, and we even observed speciation in insects directly.
The question from where life originated is not connected to evolution but to abiogenesis.
Complexity doesn’t indicate design, and if life are designed they are designed poorly.
The complexity of life and functionality is do to evolution and natural selection.
I disagree with the premise that if time was infinite there wouldn’t be present and future only past, since present always existing, past always passing and future always coming.
In fact, I would say that there cannot be such a thing as before time, since before is only relevant and meaningful in time, it will be as saying northern to the north.
If the first cause is timeless how can it effect something without time?
      Why it must be immaterial?
Why there must be a mind?
      Define cause.
(Edit: there is a difference between a painting and life, we can say that paintings are designed because we know that people design paintings, that argument is similar as to argue that because paintings don’t create more paintings, life cannot create more life.
As for the Big Bang, the bing bang theory doesn’t claim a creation from an explosion, it’s claiming the expansion of the universe)

@@user-nt7kc1tb4l Did you know abiogenesis is under the evolution umbrella?
You assert there no difference between micro and macro evolution based on your faith that fossils are evidence of speciation not just adaption, but I'd disagree that the fossils you'd use as evidence are transitional forms. I don't think that fossils are a deductive(proof base) argument but an inductive(speculation based) one because I could say that there's Marine fossils in the grand canyon or better yet fish fossils in the Himalayas and I could say that proves there was a world wide flood and that the Biblical God must be real. Information can't be added to the genome, it can only be copied correctly, destroyed(mutate) or copied too many or less times, therefore you'd never have speciation but a dog for example with 3 legs or extra toes or dysfunctional organ, not more complex - same species. I'd argue we witness adaption in insects, but not macro-evolution. If I wreck my car it doesn't automatically mean it was designed poorly, I could be a poor driver. The complexity of life and functionality is due to intelligent design because DNA is information coded instructions. If DNA is information coded instructions which we know information, coding, and instruction is only developed by intelligence, why not be consistent with origins?
Nice lets get to the deductive stuff...God bless
You straw man me here. I said "infinite in past" not "if time was infinite". Not sure if you're familiar with how number lines work with infinity. But I'm referencing infinite in past(number line ). Well if you think the past is infinite, then how long would it take to get to present from an infinitely long past? I'm not saying there such a thing as 'before' time I'm saying there's such a thing as timelessness - eternity. I'm humble and will say I don't know how God in a timeless dimension can do something without time. I didn't have to know how I was conceived to be concieved - it's a great question but if God is real all the evidence says he can somehow create without time. Interestingly, time is measured by moving matter, so an immaterial being could have exceptions. There's a couple reasons I argue the creator must be immaterial. Time is a part of nature, so we can speculate that if a part is caused to exist - time, then the whole is. Better yet, can material without time create? Must the creator of time be outside nature as a whole? If you agree to the previous premises, why it must be a mind will not be a question.
Cause - a person or thing that gives rise to an action, phenomenon, or condition.
I think complex design is the biggest difference between paintings and life. Are people designed?
