You mentioned several times that you were going to include part #s, or as you stated, "in the parts list." Where is the parts list?

It's up front in the video, begins at 1:00.

How can it cost you 35 plus tax?! iid is not cheap. Please explain…

@@dlynn7363 In my case I scored a free OEM key fob and my costs were for cutting the emergency key.
IIDTool is expensive, but I already had one. If you are purchasing an IIDTool just for this then you would need to add in that cost.

Wondering if you might help me with the fold down of my third row seating on my 2012 LR4 I’ve just purchased. I was able to fold the headrest. It says there’s a tab to lift the lower portion of the seat and flip it forward. That’s where I’m stumped. No tab checked it from the top from underneath from the back run my hand along the crack between the top and the bottom. Nothing. Could you possibly help me with this next step to get these rear seats folded?

Sure, no problem. I assume that it's the same as my 2013/2015/2016's.
Let's start on the drivers side (US configuration) seat, once you know that you can figure it out on the passenger side.
So on the 3rd row drivers side seat.
On the right hand side where the seat pan meets the back, there is a cloth loop. Mine sticks up, perhaps yours is jammed down in there somewhere.
Pull it and the seat pan releases and you can flip it down.
Then the lever is obvious , pull it and the back then folds down.
I suggest you joins landroverworld.org. You can get answers there much more quickly than from myself - I do not necessarily look at CZcams every day...

Will the physical key unlock the car with a flat battery? Thanks for all the great videos! Much appreciated

      Thanks!!
      Hmmm, good question.
Of course the physical key opens the vehicle when the key-FOB battery is dead - I clearly demonstrated that.
But you are asking about when the vehicle battery is dead.
I took a quick look on a couple of forums, and, of course, there are opinions on both sides of that question - which is why I make these videos to clearly show everyone what happens - at least with MY vehicles.
I am 99% sure that a dead vehicle battery means that you are NOT getting in.
I base that on the feel of the emergency key when I turn it and knowing how it's physically set up inside. The emergency key pulls a cable and that cable runs to the controller - and it is a powered controller. The controller then actuates the door lock.
So for now, I will state that I believe a dead vehicle battery means you are NOT getting inside.
If I learn differently I will post here!

I just bought a Discovery 4 (Nov14) and I got 3 (1) key FOBs with two wrong (none fitting) emergency keys in them. These two don't even look alike. Did you may come across on to how to get hold only a new and fitting emergency key (with no orginal as hand to copy from)?

Sorry, I do not know how to obtain a correct emergency key if you do not have an original.
I suggest calling Palm Beach Rover parts and see what they say. Palm Beach Rover is always very helpful.
After that, I would contact a local locksmith to see if they can help, and there are videos on line of folks who claim that you can put things inside a lock to take an impression - but I think those are fake...
Once you have an answer please post a reply so we can all learn how to do it!

Love your videos, but please spend a little time learning how to properly orient your phone (vertical vs horizontal) so your video isn’t being resized in the wrong format making it difficult to watch.

Thanks for the input, I orient this way on purpose. It allows me to add comments that are easily legible rather than being on a background.
