Great job! I have the same year as you. I love it! No problems with my trans. yet. Lower exhaust pipe and resonator chamber will rust out and good replacements are hard to find. Spray them with high temp paint to prolong the life as much as possible. Once they get rust holes it gets really LOUD!
Hate the music! But I give you extra points all around on this video. It's very touching to see a "special needs kid" doing such a project on his own. Cheers
Why did you do this? It was only a broken shifter spring. All you had to do was, remove the right engine case, remove the clutch and replace the broken spring!
@Robert Hersey Honestly don't know if they have enough oil in them. They probablly need a seal kit. My honda saber V65 had a dial to adjust the damping, I was wondering if the 800 had the same thing.

Would take a LOT larger engine to get that bike to run fast....
How many miles were on the engine?

Hi, I don't have experience on front forks.

@@terrytytula drain and refill with proper grade and quanitity of fork oil.. then see what you have.
@@captlarry-3525 Thanks for this, changed the oil, no improvement. Ended up it was the fork seals, not something I want to have to do again.
Hire a new music director.
