I'am 99 yrs old.. I've only watched Stan and Laurel.. And Chaplin from 1926 upto now.. Day in day out.. I smile.for their Humour and 'I cry as I miss them.. I must add the direction and production are still world Class... In total u will never dream of a permanent production and acting like these 2 ever did .'I think they ever knew how loving and fabulous they were... Such glorious simpletons... I think Inspite of their on screen smoking or whatever.. They sure are in heaven a hundred percent for sure.. '
My all time favorite! I keep them in my heart! Back in the early 70s, l was around 4-5 years old and remember watching them every day on tv. Treasure !
Stan was born in Ulverston uk . you can visit the museum and see the plaque outside the house he was born. Such comedic brilliance, thanks for all the laughter boys.
He and Ollie brought so much joy and laugher to the world. Stanley died 56 years ago today. It was a VERY sad day for the world. He was said that he did not deserve to be mention in the same breath as Charlie Chaplin. You are wrong Mr. Laurel. You deserve to be mention in the same breath with all the greats being one yourself. Thank you for all the laughter you left behind in all those films.
Maybe they laughed so hard at these very funny talented men that they couldn't see through their tears that thy thought they pressed the like button . My only guess
There's so much to love here two of my favourite things are Ollie's double takes at Stan or the Camera or both and the cute old fashioned music accompanying the boys wherever they go , the greatest, not an exaggeration, and always will be.
When I was a child, in the 60's, they were still very famous in Italy and very much loved by children and adults as well. When they came in my country in 1950, crowds went literally crazy and the welcome that the two gentlemen received from the common people was something huge and totally unexpected from them. I'm 62 but in my heart there's still that tenderness and fun when I watch their movies. Thanx from the bottom of my heart, Stan and Ollie. 💖💖
A plus one greatest actor all time. Truly enjoy classic hits movies. One funny moment each film clip, laugh and laugh all day. Sure bright on my day. Thank you up loaded this clip. Love see more. Laurel and Hardy were greatest.
Just brilliant! I seem to remember in one short/film they were going up stairs in a block of flats and Stan was pulling down the shadows of blinds on a wall. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jonathan K, l definitely knew that Stan did the sketches. Did you know that Stan and Ollie started out as solo comedian actors. The studio put them together and the rest is history
Absolutely true. Apparently the award winning Music Box was inspired by Stan seeing a house in top of a stoop and wondering how they'd get a piano up there.
One of the rare entertainment geniuses that can create hilarious comedy at times with little or no dialogue - just mannerisms; gestures; facial expression; etc.
They were such geniuses. It all looks so simple, but actually there was much hard work, and much use of innate improvisation, "go with it" brilliance...
They were masters of their trade. Almost 100 years on and they're still the best comedy duo ever. What I find really sad, is that despite them making films in an era before TV and so surely their films were box office attractions, they both lived quite simple lives and were never very rich from their work, in fact they had very little relative wealth compared to entertainers of today who earn many millions for one film. Somebody made a lot of money off of them, but not themselves. They both died not poor per se, but with minimal assets as far as I'm aware. Very sad.
Best of comedy ever. Stan was a genius. They both started out in silent movies. Then the studio put the together. Comedy was born when Stan and Ollie got together. They made millions of people laugh. Still laughing and l could watch them every day. Never get bored
I'll roll the dice on this one... 2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." Where else could these two possibly be?
Stan was from the UK he moved to usa career. Good life there he. Had daughter who died last year. Always talk about her dad how good father to her god bless the men who was on tv so many. Years ago now Always be. Missed today
A quote by sir christopher lee described laurel and hardy as the masters of comedy and I totally agree with him and we will never see the likes of them again but their genius will live forever.
I’ve just got back from seeing Stan & Ollie, the new film starring John C Reilly and Steve Coogan. It was beautiful and touching movie. It brought a few tears at the end. Loved it.
Comic genius Stan in the bottom of that boat is truly wonderful and clever Ollie expressions brilliant Ears and nosey ❤️ Best double act ever - my grandad loved these guys and I've always loved their comedy too
Utterly timeless, never fails to have me crying with laughter. They're incredibly special and their work needs to live on forever. We put some of the films on for my friend's 10 year old son and he absolutely adored it. In this age, that's saying something.
They were both absolute geniuses but Stan was the funniest guy ever to have lived. 100 years later and they never get boring. Also, James Finlayson's catchphrase was "dooooooooooooh". Any ideas who adopted it?
Stan Laurel was always scribbling in his little notebooks these bits of business. He was the creative genius behind the pair. Hardy just wanted to play his part and then get out on the golf course. This little bit of business from one of Stan's notebook never made it into a film but it is the essence of the delicate humor and poignancy of the team: Babe and I are school boys. Babe is waving is arm for the teacher "Teacher, please may I go?" "No, Oliver, you may not." Babe squirming miserably in his seat. I wave my hand to the teacher. "Yes, Stanley?" "PLEASE let him go!"
No questions asked, Laurel and Hardy are the greatest comedy duo in the world, no one will ever match their funny antics, R.I.P. Laurel and Hardy!!
Simply the GREATEST EVER !!
TRUE! Ciao from Bologna, Italy

What sort of miserably unhappy people gives these comedic geniuses a “ thumbs down ? “
A hundred years on and still making the world laugh, absolute legends!
My all time favorite! I keep them in my heart! Back in the early 70s, l was around 4-5 years old and remember watching them every day on tv. Treasure !
Stan Laurel was the greatest of them all, bar none. An absolute comic genius.
I fell in love with Laurel and Hardy as a yoing kid in the early 1950s. I never tire of them. Their humor transcends time.
Stan was born in Ulverston uk . you can visit the museum and see the plaque outside the house he was born. Such comedic brilliance, thanks for all the laughter boys.
Laurel and Hardy rarely gave me a belly laugh; more a deep chuckle at such wondrous genius
Saturday mornings will never be the same again with these two legends best years of my life back then
He and Ollie brought so much joy and laugher to the world. Stanley died 56 years ago today. It was a VERY sad day for the world. If schools showed pupils a Laurel and Hardy film once a week then maybe society would be a better place.
Ö l
I am middle aged now and can't believe that people in their 30's don't know who Stan snd Ollie are.
AGREE!! I laugh more at their skits now more than any comedians!!They are genius in their mastery of the slapstick!!
They are geniuses ..way funnier than comedians now!!
Amen
That hand drawing of Ollie at the beginning was epic.
For over 60 years these guys have been my favourite. To me they are the best comedy duo ever.
.... Stan Laurel ... mon Acteur Comique préféré ...
I love all of Laurel & Hardy's short films but the first clip of this is my absolute favourite. Genius the pair of them was.
THE LATE GREAT LAUREL AND HARDY WERE THE GREATEST COMEDY TEAM THAT EVER lived 😁
How can anyone give these absolute treasures a thumbs down. It's beyond me?
Maybe they laughed so hard at these very funny talented men that they couldn't see through their tears that thy thought they pressed the like button . My only guess
@@jessicaallen901 nice one
My dad and I looked at it in the 90's when I was a kid. Now in 2020 I still look at it with a big smile. The greatest comedians of all time
I've watched them in the 70's when i was a child and still love watching them now in my 50's.
@@TexasChilliMassacre🤝👍😊
Love the contemptuous look of Ollie toward the camera. Class.
Those two are still my old time favorites
They were all 'Classic Moments '.
Thank you. 👍 🇺🇸 🇬🇧
....If God wanted the world to laugh, he sent us Laurel & Hardy. What a joy!!
Ils sont vraiment excellents ❤❤❤❤😘😘
No drama school could ever teach this genius.Ever.
The 4 minutes are genius!
This comedy writing and acting is more brilliant than anything on tv and movies today. Absolutely wonderful. Love these guys
Two big childs and friends for life.
Even physics is bending its knee.
Will never be reached by anybody else.
I grew up with laurel and hardy films on television in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Timeless
Best double act ever. Three Best English comedians ever in my opinion are Ken Dodd and Charlie Chaplin and Stan laurel x
Stan is the type of guy that will make you cry of laughter without saying a word. What a legend
Every Saturday afternoon in 1960's on BBC.....Bravo!
James Finlayson, one of my all time favorite supporting actors
With his eye hahah
Priceless.
There's so much to love here two of my favourite things are Ollie's double takes at Stan or the Camera or both and the cute old fashioned music accompanying the boys wherever they go , the greatest, not an exaggeration, and always will be.
When Hardy looks into the camera with exasperation, he “breaks the forth wall”. He briefly connects with us and we are with them.
When I was a child, in the 60's, they were still very famous in Italy and very much loved by children and adults as well. When they came in my country in 1950, crowds went literally crazy and the welcome that the two gentlemen received from the common people was something huge and totally unexpected from them. Stan Laurel. Comic genius.
He could fiddle with a piece of paper and make it hysterical.
A piece of paper........
Is that the name of Prince Andrew's new little boy. 🤣🤣😂
God Bless them both still loved after so many years.
Happy Birthday Mr. Laurel! Thank you for all the joy you gave and continue to give in the films you left behind.
Absolute classics. They were fantastic!
A plus one greatest actor all time. Truly enjoy classic hits movies. One funny moment each film clip, laugh and laugh all day. Sure bright on my day. Thank you up loaded this clip. Love see more. Laurel and Hardy were greatest.
Wonderful stuff.
This makes me laugh harder than anything recent and it's 2020. I love these guys, RIP.
Classic loved them as child now iam 50 and still love them
"I'm better now".....walks round the car with BOTH HIS LEGS !!!HAAAAAAAA🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"I'll say he's different". I love the way she delivered that line. Loved Laurel and Hardy for as long as I can remember.
2️⃣ great Boys as ever. What a mega Comedy.
Oh mon Dieu , je suis morte de rire . Quel bonheur de les revoir , deux fantastiques comédiens 👏👍❤️❤️
C'est tres deole, n'est-ce pas? Bonjour de Pierre. Vive La France!
Just brilliant! I seem to remember in one short/film they were going up stairs in a block of flats and Stan was pulling down the shadows of blinds on a wall. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
What few know is that Stan was the comic genius behind the sketches. Absolutely hysterical!
You obviously don’t understand then
Jonathan K, l definitely knew that Stan did the sketches. Did you know that Stan and Ollie started out as solo comedian actors. The studio put them together and the rest is history
Absolutely true. Apparently the award winning Music Box was inspired by Stan seeing a house in top of a stoop and wondering how they'd get a piano up there.
Great old days.we will never see them again.god bless them
Always loved watching Laurel and Hardy as a kid.
A lot of Stan's humor was performed without him needing to say a word.
The bit where he pokes the drawing of Ollie in the eye and then nods is my favourite part to this day XD
One of the rare entertainment geniuses that can create hilarious comedy at times with little or no dialogue - just mannerisms; gestures; facial expression; etc.
Simply the best ever comedy team. Class.

Remembering watching L&H with my daughter. I’ll cherish those memories forever!!
Absolutely brilliant ! Still laughing at them all this time later ! Genius writing and characterisation, the whole thing was ahead of its time !
Still the best comedy act of all time
No comedic duo ever will be as funny as Laurel and Hardy...ever.
Stan and olly what great comedians what a great partnership they were. the best. they made us laugh and made us cry that’s what you call great comics
Alot better than Buster Keaton or Charlie Chaplin love those two 😅😅😅❤❤❤
Best of comedy ever. Stan was a genius. They both started out in silent movies. Then the studio put the together. Comedy was born when Stan and Ollie got together. They made millions of people laugh. Still laughing and l could watch them every day. Never get bored
I can't stop laughing...🤩 They are brilliant 🌟🔥❤️
This is pure comedy! Never to be duplicated!
Priceless!
How beautiful that eighty years later they are still making us laugh! Thanks boys (wherever you might be).
I'll roll the dice on this one... 2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." Where else could these two possibly be?
unfortunatley they are both deceased.
Never!! They are living for ever !
@@knut-hinrichqwalter2463 You are right!

A quote by sir christopher lee described laurel and hardy as the masters of comedy and I totally agree with him and we will never see the likes of them again but their genius will live forever.
One word: Geniuses ❤️
I love you laury and hardly u make me always happy whenever I become sad.
Stan was a great master of ‘special effects’.
I’ve just got back from seeing Stan & Ollie, the new film starring John C Reilly and Steve Coogan. It was beautiful and touching movie. It brought a few tears at the end. Loved it.
So did I!
Love these guys....funny as 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Two of my idols I loved them
Come si fa a non amarli, mitici, irrangiungibili, inarrivabili per chiunque
Comic genius
Stan in the bottom of that boat is truly wonderful and clever
Ollie expressions brilliant
Ears and nosey ❤️
Best double act ever - my grandad loved these guys and I've always loved their comedy too
I have always loved these guys.
My son can do “earsy nosy” just as good as Stan. It blows me away! Keep the magic of L&H alive Son!!
Good souls never forgotten 💖
The beginning scene in the boat, oh my god 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Utterly timeless, never fails to have me crying with laughter. They're incredibly special and their work needs to live on forever. We put some of the films on for my friend's 10 year old son and he absolutely adored it. In this age, that's saying something.
Two Geniuses at work👍
They are the best for sll time to come!
at 3:20 Hardy's bewildered expression and then when he realizes the pole is going down......lol......pure comedy gold.
How Stan kept a straight face is amazing. He was the funniest of the two. The first act was brilliant physical comedy.
Legends; both of them!! 💕
Il mio preferito in assoluto!Adorabile😍
Always funny no matter how many times you've seen them.
They were both absolute geniuses but Stan was the funniest guy ever to have lived. 100 years later and they never get boring. Also, James Finlayson's catchphrase was "dooooooooooooh". Any ideas who adopted it?
😍🤣🤣🤣🤣Questa è una scena bellissima, indimenticabile 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️
Saturday morning's with Dad, crying with laughter. Great days.

Same here. The scene w/ Stan when he was locked up w/ a black eye was so sad along w/ the music. Ollie must have hit him good.
@Streetwise Tal lol I recommend you compose this comment again 🤦♂️😂
Same hear man
For shure Dad laughing so hard, what Memories.
I used to watch them as a child in the early '60s with my late Mom and Dad and crack up laughing.
Wonderful actor. He would be 133 if he were alive today.
Laurel and hardy are legendary
The great Hal Roach said that if something was genuinely funny, it would always be funny, so true of Laurel and Hardy 🤣
Roach was the pits. He literally stole from Stan and Ollie ...the reason they ended up broke.
However, L&H are in Heaven,
And Roach is in ........,
Stan Laurel was always scribbling in his little notebooks these bits of business. He was the creative genius behind the pair. Hardy just wanted to play his part and then get out on the golf course. This little bit of business from one of Stan's notebook never made it into a film but it is the essence of the delicate humor and poignancy of the team:
Babe and I are school boys.
Babe is waving is arm for the teacher
"Teacher, please may I go?"
"No, Oliver, you may not."
Babe squirming miserably in his seat.
I wave my hand to the teacher.
"Yes, Stanley?"
"PLEASE let him go!"
