Is it me or thai and chinese dramas are getting much more better, cinematic and more emotional then kdramas lately? Not even just bls but regular dramas..they put more realistic things and the actors emotions and reflections and the CASTINGS are always top notch, i cant remember the last kdrama i watched..
Oh well you are missing out on all the really good kdramas that came out lately both normal and bl they are still god tier

To me it's balanced. Some kdramas are good, some not, same with cdramas.
To me some are good and some are not and it goes both ways whether its korean or chinese!
I like how this didn't have a girl and even though it's a bromance ✌🏻 it did good not having a girl constantly blocking them and just left them together.....it was good.....took advice from the Untamed I see🦊😎💜

I saw this and I was screaming from the inside,I love chinese bromance dramas I know that sounds crazy coz of the censorship but China makes the best bromance..the reason I was interested in any bromance was because of Harry shum junior(Magnus Bane in the shadowhunter).

OH MY GOD The Untamed!!! You cannot imagine how much I adore the novel! I cried my eyes out on many of the chapters, I just kept reading and reading day and night whenever I had free time. I'm excited for the drama, but at the same time I'm a little afraid, because I have too high expectations and the characters are all so complex (especially Wei Wu Xian) .... and yes, after Guardian, L.O.R.D. is definitely the best!

Basically, it's the story about Yin Chen, a mighty wizard who carries the title "lord" (there are 6 others, but he is the most "powerful") and his disciple Qi Ling. In the beginning, Yin Chen isn't very fond of having a disciple/student at all, but he soon discovers that Qi Ling isn't an ordinary human, so he dedicates himself to Qi Ling's training. Their greatest threat is the couple You Ming ( 2nd lord, also called the lord of slaughter) and 4th lord Lei Ya on one side, but the silver priest on the other. The silver priest seems to be kind of wise spiritual leader in the beginning, but it's actually a demon who threatens the safety of the world.
There are many side stories and characters, like in most C-dramas. But notice that it's, unlike The Untamed, not really BL themed. While Yin Chen and Qi Ling have an increasingly intense kind of mentor/student relationship, Qi Ling seems to have more a crush on the girls like Shen Yin and Lian Quan. Chinese censorship doesn't allow homosexual content in TV shows, actually. So I'm not sure if the story between Yin Chen and Qi Ling was originally romantically designed.

Unfortunately it's not subbed and maybe that's why it's not as popular as Guardian and The Untamed, but I highly recommend it to you. Their relationship, their conversations and interaction are very heartwarming and deep. This couple has become my favorite couple after Shen Wei & Yunlan and Wangji & Wei Ying. And yes, this song is amazing, I'm in love with the lyrics :)
