- In this video we look at the entire timeline of Klaus from American Dad. Voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, we look at Klaus entire life story, his past and future. Taking a look at the full American Dad episodes, I've put Klaus's life in chronological order. From season 1 to American Dad season 19.
We also look at the funniest American Dad moments with Stan Smith, Roger, Francine, Hayley and Steve. As well as other American Dad characters from Langley Falls.

If they ever do an American Dad finale, I hope Stan makes Klaus human again. Also, Klaus is a beast, killed a bunch of birds and cats trying to maul him, speared Steve so awesome it would make Goldberg proud, and he is the smartest in the entire household

No, I think Stan would make him a shark, then Klaus becomes a shark again, and Stan eventually dies, Klaus becomes a monkey, and thanks to having hands he was able to make himself human again.

@@peterversionone Maybe his Shark body died and had to be replaced with another shark. Remember before becoming human again Klaus was two sharks and then a monkey.
I remember when they didn't clean Klaus's bowl in months and you couldn't see him because water was so dirty and filled with💩

That episode with Klaus faking his own death was like the episode of family guy where Meg flips out at them all over the years of torment and bullying. Favourite Klaus episode is stanny and frantastic when he makes steve and roger waste weeks on hold to complain about, the candy floss gun they bought with, a stolen credit card 😆.
Ah Klaus, one of the most interesting characters in the American Dad series! his timeline is just marvelous!
I wouldn't worry about that, Klaus is like a super fish... he can live in alcohol, drown people in the toilet bowl, hold up several things heavier than his weight, can grow human size if he works out, can kill multiple predators by himself, is able to live off a shallow cup of water (but not a puddle which is weird), is fire resistant, highly capable of scheming, can live in both fresh, salt and chlorinated water, can survive dog attacks AND is savage af
He can’t live in salt water as it burns him ((in the hurricane episode at least))
klaus is just like joe from family guy, they both either become human or be able to walk again, then at the end of the episode they are back to normal
They should make an episode where Klaus sneaks into the CIA, switch his brain into a stranger's body, and erase the Smith's memory of him so he can stay a human
I personally don't think they would really care if he did though stand beside him to be a goldfish I can't see him going out of his way to make him a fish again for the fun of it
Klaus, like Zoidberg, isn't appreciated enough by his family and friends. He's a cool guy who knows how to rodeo like a champ! Easily has the best 1liners and can even outwit Roger! Don't blame him for loving Francine either! ❤

It always made me mad that they wouldn't even give him a quality of life upgrade. Like at least give my man a 10 gallon aquarium, come on now.

Nah Klaus is super underrated
I would like to see an episode exploring/explaining how Klaus ended up with the Smiths. We know why Stan tolerates Roger's presence in the house. Roger saved his life so Stan feels he owes him a life debt (although they grew to be genuine friends over time) but no such backstory has been given to Klaus. We know how & why he became a fish but not why he lives in the Smith house. That could be an interesting story because the family clearly didn't welcome him in cause they liked him.

My favorite Klaus transformation has to be in that post-apocalyptic episode when towards the end all of Roger's personas are at war with all the other American Dad characters who are outside of the Smith family and the Smith family is kind of stuck in the middle but then I guess the radiation had a very positive effect on Klaus so you see a really giant Claus just fly up and behind the cliff with Jeff riding it like a knight with a sword and Klaus just burning up all the bad guys with his fire breath. That was the most badass Klaus moment of all time!

at the end of that episode we see giant Klaus chilling in a lake and playing with the children of the post apocalypse community. I like that future for Klaus. Even better than him getting to be human again, getting to be a big friendly lake monster that all the children love 🌈😭💖
also I love that the saviours of humanity are the two members of the smith household that Stan most dismisses and dumps on, but especially Klaus because Stan never actually TORTURED Jeff the way he did Klaus (like dangling him over the garbage disposal) but eventually Klaus becomes the subject of Stan’s arguably most meaningful tattoo
Out of the main family, the only characters I genuinely like nowadays are non of the main family; Roger, Klaus & Jeff are the only ones I still find entertaining and feel sympathy for, and with Klaus it always hits hard in the feelings seeing how his life with the Smiths has unfolded. He definitely had the best and most hilarious one-liners, as that was pretty much all he had in terms of involvement in the show. He felt like a natural commentator who was just observing the Smith family duke it out with one another and learn to accept Klaus himself for who he is, which they still don't seem to get the hang of. Klaus never fails to make me laugh! His ability to rip into anyone harshly and his sometimes chill and swag yet thrill-seeking way on coping with his life will never get old, and while he has grown to be pretty clueless and deranged most of the time, no one can really blame as he's been stuck in his fish body for so long and now gets an equally as horrible time as Meg Griffin does. The mistreatment and abuse he gets nowadays from the characters and (therefore) the bad writing is pretty sad and while it used to be minor and funny at times when he could take it on the chin, it has gone too far as the Smiths have become pretty despicable and awful human beings just like the Griffins. Klaus has actually become the kindest and most caring member of the Smith family behind Jeff and we all secretly wish he moves away from them for good; not like the episode about him faking his death in the future. I could rave on for so long about how apocalyptically awful that episode is; I genuinely can't fathom how someone looked out the universally hated Seahorse Seashell Party episode of Family Guy and took that as INSPIRATION to make a parody episode, and it somehow ended up being even worse than the absolute trash it was copying of?! To me, that episode is by far the worst episode the show has ever made; it destroyed the entirety of American Dad's reputation of being an actually good show that was always different to, more innovative than and by far and away much better than Family Guy. It ultimately decided to make Klaus the Meg of the show, and with that and how sloppy the episode writing was shaping out and how unlikeable Stan, Francine, Steve and especially Hayley were becoming, American Dad basically became a pitiful cone of Family Guy except without cutaways. If that episode was never made, American Dad could've still been a good show and still be superior as bad as Family Guy has gotten. Klaus doesn't suit being a depressed, suicidal pushover like Meg; he's miles more interesting and entertaining, with there being so much more potential to him and exploring his life when he was human rather than just him now being stuck in a fish bowl and as the butt of the joke; he deserves so much better.

I love Klaus, he can really be hilarious and i really think the show wouldnt be as good without him, i just think its kinda weird that the more seasons went by the more he became kind of a Meg for the smiths, but still, i prefer him to her lol 😂
You know, I wouldn't mind seeing a proper American Dad and Family Guy crossover and seeing Meg and Klaus talk about being the family Punching bag

the future klaus being human is probably included the mind trasfomer thing. the mind trasformer thing is in the cia, right (the earth, wind and fire band guy and a nun)? so it is possable to swap minds. this is a theory... it's probably when stan is on a death bed, stan got to klaus another body.

i was always hoping they'd do an episode where klaus finds out that the cia has been paying him money the entire time that he's been staying with the smiths but that stan has been keeping it without his knowledge, roger would find out n tell klaus, klaus would take the family to court and win.... you know American Dad antics

Klaus is one of the best characters. He's funny, he's like a better Meg, and he is the most hilarious animal character in the show. I wish Klaus will get his human body again at the end of the show and have more acceptance for himself.

Stan wasn't hiding Klaus's body, it was found in Antarctica years later, if I remember it correctly.
Also, for CIA it would be so easy to just clone and grow a new body for Klaus, from the old one, Stan doesn't do that just because he doesn't like Klaus that much, unfortunately.
He is the best characters of american dad.

There is a way for Klaus to return to normal. By using a sample from his old body and the regeneration thingy Stan used to resurrect President James Garfield to give him a usable body.
So Klaus and Meg r both the lightning rod for the dysfunction of their families. Seth should do a small crossover bit about that
