    Arkansas got absolutely jobbed by the refs down the stretch. They did all they could at the end to guarantee UNC moved on. At the same time, Arkansas missed some key shots in the final 2 minutes.
    There's no way to know for sure who would have won if the game was officiated correctly. What I can say is it's a real shame we got cheated out of a great ending.

    2 miscalls in final minutes. One was a Charging Foul and one was that they give the ball to North Carolina even though they touched the ball last as it went outta bounds.

      +Dirty Bubble In that situation, it doesn't matter. Berry threw his arm out to push the Arkansas defender away. That's an offensive foul every time. The refs blew it. He also traveled.

      NC would've still won without the calls IMO. It's just that refs need to point out the obvious calls.

    • @GreenDay1981
      @GreenDay1981 Před 7 lety

      You can't say for sure UNC would have still won. If the call had been made, Arkansas gets the ball back down by 1 with 49 seconds left. Instead, UNC got a tip in to go up by 3 and made things more difficult for Arkansas.

    • @thesamedufus2012
      @thesamedufus2012 Před 7 lety

      There's NUMEROUS other calls that could have been made in the rest of the game which could have determined a lot of other things. The fact is, in the end, UNC won. They will probably lose for the same thing next game so just wait for that dream to come true.

    I'm a die hard UNC fan and for us committing 17 turnovers 38% from the field and 29% from 3 it was hard to watch. But Arkansas was really physical and we overcame that. For us to win a game like this was huge for our confindence. Total team effort tonight let's get 4 just like it Go Heels.

      I don't bring up offlicails Duke shot 72 free through attempts in 2 games against us so there's a stat for you. And we are the bigger team the bigger team usually gets more free through's. Every 50-50 ball was going Arkansas way and they hit multiple lucky shots to stay in the game. And that dunk that Isaiah Hicks had at the end was foul no call. Down 5 with under four minutes that's called being clutch.

    Your editing department conveniently left out the two most controversial plays at the end! The "no-tip" and the 4 steps travel/offensive foul that wasn't called. Nice job NCAA!!! Gotta protect the committee and let at least one ACC team in the Sweet 16. If this game was called fair the SEC (the presumed weakest conference of the power 5) would have 4 teams in the final 16.

      @Eric_Scott2 Před 7 lety +4

      You mean the rest of the calls that led to UNC shooting 25 FT's to only 8 FT's for UA? Yeah, I'd say that officiating mattered too. It was a poorly called game in UNC's favor and you know it.

    • @thesamedufus2012
      @thesamedufus2012 Před 7 lety +1

      A poorly called game both ways is what I know. Bradley traveling followed by an Arkansas player pulling Jackson with his arm and the foul being called on JACKSON??? Come on dude. You know the refs NEVER get things right. Arkansas lost the game for one reason, they simply missed ALL their shots at the end when they mattered most. Including a 1 and 1 and wide open looks from 3.

    Diehard razorback fan but, First of all, lets give credit where it is due, NC played well and beat us, and a few calls do not determine the game, and i do not buy in to the conspiracy but if you do not think the incompetence of the refs helped NC win this game then you must be delusional. Firstly, they only called 10 fouls on NC for the Whole game, in fact, arkansas shot 8 free throws whereas NC shot 26... secondly, they went to the monitor saw a clear deflection that even the announcer pointed out yet they still gave the ball to NC, thirdly, i can respect them not calling the charge/block at the end but at the very least it was walk, the man took 4-5 steps. I'm not at all saying we would've won had the game been call fairly be I am saying the game was obviously not called fairly which tremendously helped NC.

      I hate Arkansas for how they behaved in the SEC Championship game and wanted them to lose but I do agree the refs helped UNC win big time. Arkansas should have gotten a chance to take the lead with 49 seconds left. How those idiot refs didn't call an offensive foul on UNC there, I don't know. That could not have been more obvious. Just another example of how the NCAA helps the ACC as much as they can. I bet they're gonna suspend the officiating crew for the SC-Duke game last night for not helping Duke win.

      @thesamedufus2012 Před 7 lety +1

      Terrible reffing? How bout watching all 40 minutes there buddy. Especially the entire ACC tournament for Duke. There's a reason Duke shot 37 free throws when the beat UNC. REFS!

    • @GreenDay1981
      @GreenDay1981 Před 7 lety +3

    • @thesamedufus2012
      @thesamedufus2012 Před 7 lety

      Well I dunno if you were watching but Carolina does not foul much. They don't practice drawing contact like the dookies do either. Arkansas doesn't draw much contact as well. Thus only 8 free throws. Arkansas fouled Carolina so we went to the line.

    • @GreenDay1981
      @GreenDay1981 Před 7 lety +4

      629 fouls in 36 games is 17.4 per game. That's not much? Clearly you don't know your own team.

  • @anemicroyalty8764
    @anemicroyalty8764 Před 7 lety +1

    We got our butts pulled out of the fire this game. That was a bad effort for 25 minutes, we got lucky. But we're through, that's what matters. As for the refs, yes there were two questionable calls that went UNC'S way but before that there were at least two phantom fouls that were called on Carolina, so it wasn't lopsided on our end. But we have to be MUCH better against Butler for sure.

    • @almostatheist
      @almostatheist Před 7 lety +2

      the fact they went to the monitor, and saw the ball partially deflected off of NC, but still gave the ball to NC basically proves the refs was were on your side, or at the very least incompetent, secondly, i understand them not calling a charge or a block, but the man took about 4 or 5 steps so where's the traveling?.... i'm not going to say there is some huge conspiracy where the refs are helping y'all win games, but I will say the incompetence of the refs gave y'all the game. If you cannot admit that I think you must be delusional.

    • @anemicroyalty8764
      @anemicroyalty8764 Před 7 lety

      I thought the deflection call was wrong too. But before that there was a bad call on which Arkansas got 3 free throws where Jackson barely touched their player, and then near the end was called on aphantom screen. Without doubt bewteen this, the Gonzaga Northwestern gaffe and others the refs have been bad, but they didn't give us the game. Arkansas got tenative, that was the biggest thing. But I will fully admit we didn't deserve it with the way we played for 25 minutes. We were very fortunate.

      We can point out terrible calls all day but the two facts prove my point
      1. The refs REVIEWED the play and STILL gave y'all the ball
      2. Ark shot 8 free throws NC shot 26
      The facts don't lie my friend but you guys are a too good of a team to get help from officials

      @anemicroyalty8764 Před 7 lety

      I understand your frustration for sure, and I'm not gonna try to claim we didn't benefit from some bad calls along the way. Bad calls are an unfortunate part of the game, and sometimes it bites you, somet

    • @anemicroyalty8764
      @anemicroyalty8764 Před 7 lety

      Didn't finish my post there, but sometimes it bites and sometimes it helps. I for sure don't want us to win because of bad calls, because odds are it will end biting us later on. But it's not an exclusive Carolina thing. Look at the title game last year (no, I'm NOT trying to say that's why we lost, it wasn't, but it didn't help either). The NCAA needs to just do something about officiating, but they never will, so it's not going to change.

      lol have nothing? Are you crazy? I'll have the memories of this season to reflect on, it's more then just wins and losses... Arkansas was composed of 3 star and juko recruits and pushed a bunch of 5 and 4 star athletes to their "heels" (pun intended) until the last a few minutes, in which poor officiating effected the outcome of the game. So Buy your replica ring, but as for me, this season was emotionally fulfilling despite the loss.

      jdheelfan The announcers are supposed to say good things about both sides and never say that it is bad reffing. When the announcers say it it bad reffing, it was bad reffing. And I totally agree. Same with the championship game. Gonzaga got cheated out of a championship.
