I'm averaging 9.6L/100km after 7 months and 12000kms with the car. I use it as a daily, rarely travel long distance. So it's not too bad, considering the claimed 9.4L/100km. It started around 11L/100, but it's been slowly recovering with time, and I've purposefully never reset the fuel meter since purchase.
18 months in, still going strong. I had a wiring fault a few months ago, and it turned out that a dog had managed to reach in inderneath the car and I bite some of the wires. Messed with my sensors and gear shifter. Also the dog messed up 2 other cars like that: an old Corolla and a Ranger. After we fixed that though, everything's been good. The car is solid. No rattles or things coming apart.
Nice one mshana! I agree with your comments. I reviewed this bakkie last year and test drove it, it's premium. The only thing I complained about was power, it lacks a bit. As an off-roader, I am not sure if I can rely on its abilities, it's never been tested. But I would buy it as Ranger, Hilux and Isuzu are extremely expensive.
I own a 2023 Toyota Hilux GR-S and I'm averaging 8.5L/100KM. Not bad for a new bakkie with a 165KW motor and with only 1690 KM's on the clock. It's only going to get better going forward. Go Toyota!!
I cannot help but wonder, is this a pretty pick n pay chocolate cake? Looks incredible in the container but when you actually take a bite its just a stale tasteless sponge cake that becomes mouldy after a day. I'd give it a few years to see what owners are reporting after some time in use before I'd consider it as a serious contender.
I totally agree with you there 100%. Cars with no track record are a no go zone, but also if we keep on with that mentality the current leading brands will keep on ripping us off cos they know we have no alternatives.
@@MuziSambo there are a number of reviews for Australia and the good part is they are really putting this car through some rough tests and so far they all positive, good engine with good transmission and same goes for the Haval H6, these guys mean business and these cars are here to stay.
It's all nice now, but it will fall apart in 5 years. Chinese getting better, but not thete yet on quality. The need to beef up the fittings like nuts and bolts.
Funny thing is GWM blacked out all the chrome on their concept cars in every car show they attended, so clearly they know the chrome is out of place. Everytime I see one of these on the road they always have the chrome part blacked out.
All you're trying to do is criticize the GWM brand, you won't know about it until you own it,all you're doing is trying to say that GWM p series copied the features of other cars.you say there's no way it can be below 10L/100km ,but you say the Toyota Hilux and Ford ranger did it,you make no sense, this is not a comparison video but rather you're showing your support and love for other cars, and not GWM
😁😊So you ignored the part where I said the car looks good and has a premium interior because that doesn't suit your narrative. As for fuel consumption my conclusion was based solely on the "claimed" figures not real life consumption. I even went as far as saying the car is affordable and I wish it outsells the market leading brands and all that fell on deaf ears. You make no sense, but then again it's your opinion✌🏽
Stop buying this cheap Chinese nonsense! If you want a bakkie just get a Toyota Hilux. This Chinese thing can break if you load things in the back violently

How has been the reliability of the car thus far

What is the reliability like on this vehicle anyone who has owned it for more than two years to tell us how they feel about the P Series
For me it looks more like the Mercedes X Class, You'd bet it is one coming from distance
I see that as well
The GWM P-Series became what the Mrcedes-Benz X-Class wanted to be
Those are Chinese for you.
When will we get some Kia,Mazda, Hyundai content?

Your wit my man...classic.
Id black out this car, it would look amazing. Not the chrome🤦🏾♂️.

The chrome grille gives it an expensive finish!

Black makes everything look better
Yes. Yes. You're right. Remove all this chrome. Why do they use so much of it? Black out everything even mirrors and door handles.
