- Join me as I take a very enjoyable hike along The Trail of the Cedars and Avalanche Lake to one of the most spectacular views in all of Glacier National Park. Even though this is a very popular and busy trail I managed to have a great encounter with one of the four legged locals.
Great video!!!
Nice vid. I was there many moons ago... ('94?). I walked beyond the logjam and followed the lake to where the three waterfall streams come together on the other end and feed the lake. I had my fishing rod, of course. Found a spot with a day-old pile of grizz scat. Threw out a line and caught some really nice cutthroats... All the while singing with gusto The Ballad of Jed Clampett and Day Tripper. Fortunately, no bears. Thanks for the memory. sw
Such a beautiful scenery my friend! Trail looks phenomenal!
Defiantly one of my favorite hikes in Glacier. If I ever make it back there I would start this hike at daybreak to avoid the crowds.
That was so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes! I like your idea of trying to figure out how to stay there forever. I am going to watch it again tomorrow. Happy hiking!
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful place and I loved the turquoise color of the lake. Merry Christmas John 🤗
Thanks Cheryl, I really enjoyed this hike. If you ever make it to Glacier, definity put this one on your list. I hope you and Chris have a magical and safe Christmas.
