Btw, an interesting side story from me: On one of our max burger runs, i overheard one of the employees talking Slavic, they obviously had an incredibly busy day because of us, and every trouble is that much more frustrating, now i'm not sure what the poor fella was going trough, but the pure unfiltered Slavic rant was unexpected and a bit comical at the same time, i couldn't help but call out to him in his language saying ''Life is like that sometimes, isn't it brother?'' He looked up with at first a surprise written face to follow with a joyous smile.
14:30 for the ARRESTED!! story Fyi, police (in some jurisdictions) have the authority to detain you for your own safety if you appear intoxicated in public. And they can confiscate your things until you sober up. So, depending on their laws, they might have been justified. Though in my jurisdiction "When you are detained as an intoxicated person you must be allowed to contact a responsible person."
Adding on: if they didn't take a urine/blood sample they were probably not looking for drugs. The point of detaining heavily intoxicated people is to take them somewhere safe (so they can't, for an example, get confused and wobble into traffic) where they will be monitored in case of a medical emergency. The police often don't have the resources to properly monitor these cases, somewhat defeating the purpose. But the police likely didn't arrest Gannen out of any malice or ill intent.

I hope you are able to come to Eurofurence 28 this year from September 18-21. Btw I really felt that knee story there is not a thing worse than having something that healed so slow to revert back to broken in one single moment. I rarely watch con blog style story videos longer then 15 min, but you just kept me glued to my screen either in awe or mostly happy tears because what you experienced reminds me so much of my last 2 cons, and I am super happy for you despite the few bizarre and bad things. And to be honest if everything is perfect it is just not as fun, entertaining or memorable, at least this is what I think. I have no idea to round off my comment, so have a virtual fluffy hug and many happy days. ^~^

I have received invitations to cons in past over 3 years, even fully paid ones from good friends on vrc, but still i haven't made my step outside my comfort place to explore something new.

Me and a friend of mine… we where in the Comfort Hotel… absolutely same… booked a double room…. But it was definitely a single room with a double bed … yeah.. weard
So, for future reference probably grab an esky, I assume ice bags to be pretty easy to get a hold of regardless of location, they're great for being an impromptu fridge, not ideal but certainly a better place to stick your seafood salad just in case and forgetting to keep tabs on it may result in soggy salad which is great as a reminder to get rid of it or something :p
Knees are the absolute worse. Why is something so essential to movement so fragile and bonkable. Knee-pads should be mandatory. Glad to hear you had a good time overall!
Well, you certainly had a con experience! Glad you really enjoyed yourself. I guess every con has it's ups and downs, but it's great that the ups outweighed the downs for you! ...Just maaaaybe don't eat fish salad. Left in a fridge. Several days later. In a fridge that doesn't work. XD
I wish I could've been at NFC, but since I live in the United States, and international travel is prohibitively expensive for me, I'm sad that I'll most likely never be able to attend NFC, for the foreseeable future. I am hoping that I'll be attending FWA 2024 this year in Atlanta Georgia, Since I live just a short 20 minutes from the convention center. I heard that you "VoxDraco" Attended MMF before, which is definitely here in the states, perhaps I'll run into you at FWA this year. I'd like to hug you, and get a photo. but I will otherwise leave you alone to enjoy the convention. We've met briefly in VRchat before, but we never really had a chance to talk, but since you're a very busy being with many friends, I'm not the least bit surprised about this, you must get so many SIMPs wanting to monopolize your time, knowing that you're a CZcamsr and all. Ngl when I saw the video was 40min long, i was a bit relunctant to click cause usually long videos on yt gets tiring to watch after a few minutes, but you managed to make the video still enjoyable to watch for the whole 40min. The short vrchat clips you recorded and also the changes in scenario really helped out making it a bit less repetitive. Also, i like how when you go to another map, the talking just keeps so fluid between the transitions it almost feels like you prerecorded the whole audio at once.
