- The arrival of new Station Officer Nick Georgiadis makes waves at Blackwall for the whole of Blue Watch, a few workers become trapped in a sewer after a gas explosion, and Kevin gets into a fight with his sister's boyfriend.
Loved Nick....by the book but a sense of humour too!
Indeed - I noticed, while rewatching the show, that despite it being built around an ensemble cast with everyone getting a piece of the action, Nick is the closest it has to a protagonist, an actual main character.
If Zorba didn't want Hallam in formal uniform, he could have told him that before they went on parade !

Looked like there wasn't time for him to change.
They almost made Nick out to be another ADO Scase at first; but within an episode or two you could see he was a decent bloke, and still one of the lads at heart!
@Stefano Pavone I never thought he was as bad as Scase. I agree his behaviour as an ADO was a bit off, but I don't think his doubts about Chris Hammond were entirely unjustified; and at least he still cared about the actual firefighting, which was more than Scase often seemed to.
@Stefano Pavone Absolutely - those losses were definitely driving factors in his change. That's an interesting point about him being close to a protagonist. I've certainly often thought he was one of the very best firefighters in the show.
@Stefano Pavone Well i never got that impression, Nick was very protective of his watch, and wasn't 100% keen on Hammond.

I love how Colin parks his prat-carrier next to Zorba's Kawaski - Kinda like parking a Hillman Imp next to a Lambourhgini !
London's burning is one of my favourite shows when I was younger. By the book what a funny line I also liked Geoff perce too
Nick was a great guv, shame we lost in season 11, the longest running station officer of the series
Agreed. Such a cop out by the writers when they killed him off.
@@jackbruening6560 yeah, it would be so amazing if he lasted from season 4 to the end, that would mean he was alive for 10 seasons. Of course, Glen Murphy (George Green) survived from season 1 and onward
@@BlueTGM40 Real talk, Glen Murphy must have hated the show's direction. I mean like you said he has been a staple of the shows since the glory days of the late 80s and mid 90s and I'm sure for him personally it must have sucked to see where the show went. At that point I think he was just in it for the money
@@jackbruening6560 yeah, I think by season 8 or 9 he was done doing London’s Burning, but he said it himself, “A big part of my life, the next 12 years, doing London’s Burning,”

Hallam is just pissed because he's been kicked off his perch.
If I came across a stranger in a restricted part of the building asking to see my manager, I would at least ask him his name or if the manager was expecting him.
That's exactly what I would do as well, and that's what they should have done. I'm not there yet, but I bet they get a good roasting for that.
Nothing at all wrong with high standards and discipline as long as you're not a bastard about it (Unless you have to be) .

Well I try my best with the setup that I have. These are not from my personal collection, but from other video streaming sites such as Vimeo or Dailymotion that I found and have reuploaded them for the sole purpose of broadcasting to a wider audience seeing as more people use CZcams than the other sites.

24:01 - Anyone know what type of lamp this is? Like perhaps what manafacturer it was?
Despite the show being from the late 80s and early 90s, this lamp looks like it might have been from much earlier.
