Implicit Bias Workshop - January 17, 2022

In this 3-hour workshop, educators will practice holding agreements and brave space for courageous conversations. Participants will be guided in reflection related to their social identities and affinity groups, and will focus on defining terms that bring consciousness to how biases are formed - in order to allow educators to make choices about how they function in their classrooms and buildings. Educators will learn about the role of selective attention and how we become conditioned. Space to explore the impact of implicit bias on BIPOC students will also be provided, as well as how to create a culture of inclusion, accountability, and anti-racism.
