Yo tenia tan solo 4 años de edad cuando en 1966 se estreno este gran y espectacular tema por Don Lalo Schiprin su autor , este tema seguirá teniendo muchas versiones y películas a pesar del tiempo transcurrido ya hoy tengo 60 y me sigue encantando ya que como decía mi abuelo lo bien hecho , eso siempre va a perdurar, saludos a todos los aquí presentes desde MEXICO...

I have loved this practically all my life, the first time I heard it on the TV it captured me I just wished it was longer, a delight to learn Mr Schifrin wrote more of it, the full theme is very mellow and a great piece of Jazz in it's own right, pity we didn't get more on the Mission Impossible shows, but I don't suppose the television networks would have given it a long intro One of my other all time favourites is the superb music for Bullitt, also by this musical Genius!

In 1967, when I bought my first Lalo Schiffrin's LP, I realized that he was a music genius. But now ... pft ... I'M SURE that he is one of the pillars of movie music. "Officially" he is not among the top 10. It should be enough the Mission Impossible theme to put him among the top 5, with John Williams and 3 other equivalents.
I played some videos of old t v shows I grew up watching for my kids and they went crazy !!! They were inviting all their friends over to watch and asking where had this stuff been all these years and why had it been taken off in the first place and how great it was ( especially TOPO GIGIO) . they loved the music from the theme songs a lot . I almost had tears in my eyes thinking of all the time that had past .
I saw him direct our symphonic orchestra in PR for a movie & TV music concert. When they played this, the place wanted to explode with excitement. BTW, he also played the Mannix theme. It was a phenomenal experience.
