I've lived in the United States, and the UK. But my country of choice, and where I live to this day, is Australia. Sure, the first three years in Australia was a period of massive cultural adjustment. But the benefits far and away outweighed the effort. What really helps is to maintain an open mind. Sure, some things aren't the same as 'back home/back there'. But that is why you come to Australia in the first place. I love Christmas in summer, AFL and cricket, meat pies, endless beaches, not being shot at, and g'day mate.

You'd be surprised how many people move to Australia psychically but don't move mentally for in their mind they're still living in the old country and eventually they move back.
They can't let go of their old life and all their friends and eventually their emotions take over and they leave Australia for good. They can do it now because it's easy to get on a plane and fly out but in the 50's and 60's it wasn't that easy to get ocean passage and it was very expensive so you really had to totally move and many did and they've thrived and wouldn't call anywhere else home. My parents came here in the late 50's and went back to the UK for a visit in 2000 and they couldn't wait to get back home, to Australia.

This guy is in Queensland, other states have different shops who stay open longer in the Suburbs, you can get coffee from lots of places after 4pm where I live. Ketchup has a lot more sugar than Tomato Sauce, Ketchup is sold here and sauce from a takeaway is ridiculous, you can by the sachets and keep them in your car.

There are some cafe's/takeaway places that close early here in Aus. My sister owns and runs a local bakery/cafe and they close at 4pm. Why?...because they are located in the retail/business center of town and cater to people whom work in that area and the shoppers for mainly lunches snacks coffees etc, and there really isn't any demand after about 4pm (after the mid afternoon coffee "rush"), plus, my sister starts work at 3am to freshly bake all the days fare for sale, and by 4pm, she's done! So that's basically why some close early, but you can still get a coffee at anytime of the day or night from several other outlets (Macca's, servo's etc), even here in our smallish rural town of about 15k pop. Cheers!

Guys, saying G'day to your neighbours is a form of security. You're asking if everything's OK.
Welcoming neighbours is the same thing. Once you know they're ok, you can relax. They won't be a problem.

The word Ketchup is a Malay word, in Malay spelt kicap but pronounced ketchup but was used for soy sauce. Somehow the Americans and British got hold of it and spelt & pronounced it ketchup.

In Queensland we also play Vigaro. I'm not sure how many other States do, I know when I went to Victoria the 1st time in the 80's, they had no idea what it is. And Tomato Sauce are Ketchup are different here as well.

I don't talk to my neighbours. At all.
    ...
Except when there's a huge amount of smoke coming from a house down the street. I walked straight into his backyard and asked him if he's all right. Just burning some garden organics (which probably shouldn't be a thing, since we have organics collection every fortnight), but I told him which house I lived at and was just making sure his house wasn't on fire.
I'm an antisocial hermit, but if the neighbours actually need help, I'm there.

I'm 51 and am barefoot 99% of time, I can handle most hot roads, but also know not to stand in 1 spot on it or in areas it's melting (literally bubbles as it melts and sticks, so continues to burn), you get soft feet wearing footwear, so it can cause serious burning, sand is another that can get you, especially if you sink in it

To be fair we do have ketchup, sort of, the main difference between that and tomato sauce I’m fairly sugar is sugar content, ketchups a lot sweeter than tomato sauce, places like maccas etc use ketchup on the burgers, I reckon if you can find some sugar free ketchup then you’ll know the taste of tomato sauce

The thing about early closing iis it depends where you are. Inner city big population you'll most likely find somewhere to get a coffee on your way home. Further out probably not enough customers to justify staying open and paying staff. Having ssaid that most service station and supermarkets are open til at least 7 maybe 9. Probably find a pharmacy open too. But not general retail. Comes back again to the cost of wages and the surrounding population levels.

We may speak the same language (more or less) but Australian society is totally different to American society because we value different things and our society is run differently.
Australia is a unique country with an extremely unique culture which isn't found anywhere else. It is a capitalist country not socialist for you can make a ton of money in Australia and keep it whereas in a socialist society like China you can make a ton of money too but the state will take most of it from you.

This bloke is a bit of a tool. Lots of misinformation. Why complain that you have to be up in the wee hours to watch a soccer match? You're in a different time zone! I don't know where exactly in Australia he lives, he says Queensland, but let me assure you, there are a variety of climates on a continent that vast. If you live in Melbourne, winters are really bitter. Often below freezing point overnight. It's not always summer as they portray on TV shows. Nonsense about having to pay extra for sauce BTW.

Our gun laws couldn't work in America. With borders come smugglers and it would be too easy to smuggle into America weapons. Australia with no real borders it's harder, don't get me wrong criminals do get guns here but unless you're a criminal yourself It is not likely to be a victim of gun crime

With ascension coming up, probably this year, when the solar flash occurs, it is very important to GROUND YOURSELF. That means getting out there and walking on grass without rubber thongs on or other forms of shoes. The closer you are to nature, the more you vibrate at a higher level and it will make the ascension process that much easier for you at the time. Listen to people in the truth movement (spiritualists) and they will all tell you the same thing. Connect with God - skin on the earth!!!
