What an incredible explanation on the parable of the Good Samaritan. Father Mike, you have been blessed by our Lord to be able to clearly convey the Gospel in plain English so that us laypersons can understand and grow in our faith. If every priest had your gift, our churches would once again be filled. God bless you and your ministry! Jezu Ufam Tobie...

Thank you Father, this came as a prayer answer to a lot going on in my life and all around the world with the church etc. I'm going to pray to also offer my sufferings for my family but also for conversion of those (my family and neighbor also) around the world who have fallen under the deception of evil, and are suffering, half dead. I pray for all those priests, and Pope who are in some darkness right now, that God grant them healing and light. TRUTH and clarity of the One and only TRUTH.

    Father O'Conner,
I struggle with the idea of Eternal Life.
I've been mulling the idea that human beings will one day be technically capable of resurrecting themselves and their ancestors using some sort of DNA computer that replicates our memories from when we were originally alive. Mechanical sifters will sift the sands of time searching for memory-containing remnants of long half-life DNA double-helix molecules. Perhaps our DNA memories will contain memories of our ancestors that as biological beings with organic brains we're currently unable to easily access without the aid of psychotropic drugs combined with energetic weather. Having memories that we can physically replicate will allow the information contained in it to be read and transmitted at the speed of light across the galaxy to be reconstituted in a DNA computer 3D-printed at the remote destination and possibly installed in a robot body or entered into an advanced computer simulation. Resurrected humans will have the capability of transmitting or transporting the information of themselves far distances at the speed of light.
I foresee a universe colonized by resurrected humanity serving as the protective angels of their much slower but ever-expanding biological living descendants. The resurrected will construct designer stars and designer planets including less-wild and more-stable designer Earth-like planets.
But your sermon highlights that certain requirements must be met before GOD would ever allow resurrection into Eternal Life.
How can humanity qualify before GOD for mass resurrection?
Do you think GOD's promise of Eternal Life could be something that GOD designed humans to achieve technically?
Could it be that the souls of all our ancestors are currently in cold storage awaiting our enlightened technical resurrection of them?

Nonsense our understanding of God is like a drop of water in the ocean. We only need to love God with all of our beings because God love us unconditionally regardless in whatever forms seen or unseen in this world and in eternal world when God will reveal to us.

According to more than one source (i.e. Malachi Martin and Friar Michel de la Sainte Trinité) the Third Secret of Fatima (not released to the public) is about The Book of Revelation chapters 8 to 13. These talk partly about the seven destructive angelic trumpets that signify the collapse of religion, particularly the phenomenon of the Post-Vatican II Council new religion, that as of late is associated with LGBT "masses" and an underground gay lifestyle subculture admitted by several os its hierarchical figures (e.g. "Bishop" Morlino from Wisconsin). Sister Lucia of Fatima (see her Interview with Father Fuentes in 1957), who wrote the Third Secret, said the Third Secret was concerned with a punishment associated with Russia to be put in effect by 1960. Thus the Vatican II new religion is the crumbling object the seven angelic trumpets of Revelation continually destroy. And the proof the Vatican II religion means the Russian tiara substituting the papal tiara, is that Olavo de Carvalho (Brazilian philosopher interviewed by Nyquist a few times) himself noted, in a public talk (in reference to a book he was reading), that the Soviet spies present in the Vatican II Council reported there was nothing for them to do in there, the very ordinary participants of the council were doing the spies' job for them in ravaging religion. Of course the effects of the council were tragic, even according to some post-conciliar commentators and nonCatholics alike; the statistics and other qualitative details speak for themselves. The last three trumpets sounded by the last three angels are the famous Three Days of Darkness [that are not literal days] foretold by Blessed Anna Maria Taigi in the 19th century, other similar predictions having been made by people of repute among Catholics since then. These three days of darkness, according to Anna Maria Taigi, are to do with spiritual punishments coming from heaven, but also with temporal punishments coming from earth in the form of wars and revolutions. The Ukraine War signals the coming of these three days of darkness (which are not literal days, by the way, this being a symbolism); and the timing perfectly matches the Revelation chapters, for the three last trumpets begin after the fourth trumpet obscured a third of the sun, moon and stars. The obscuring of a third part is a symbol for a gradual process, for duality means gestation, thus getting rid of the third part means a progressive effect; and that the obscuring is to gradually take hold, until it reaches a momentum (three days of darkness or last three trumpets). This fourth trumpet that obscures sun, moon and stars, means the obscuring or waning of the secular signs of religious authority; the loss of credibility of religious authorities, especially within the Post-Vatican II religion, having reached an unprecedented accumulation, as is well known. And to prove the three last trumpets stand for three days, all you have to do is take into consideration that just as the fourth day of the week is Wednesday whether or not you count the days from first to last or from last to first; the destruction of the trumpets corresponding to the reverse order as compared to the Genesis seven days of creation; both the Genesis creation fourth day and the Trumpets' fourth day deal with the exact same object, namely, the sun, moon and stars. Other details can be given, but basically what is happening is that the three days preceding total collapse are approaching, and they are supposed to be fraught with wars and strange evils. The Revelation narrative is sufficient for one to interpret these events as meaning that the World as we know it will never return, and in fact has not been what it was ordinarily for some time. The blessed candles ("candele benedette") affording illumination during the three days of darkness, reffered to by Taigi, are the Benedictine monks from Rochester, the Dimond Brothers, who are the two witnesses of Revelation 11, the two olive trees and the two candlesticks during the darkness.

I tried to say prayers (May 14, 2022), and I couldn't, as sometimes happens because of some pressure
presumably supernatural , forcing me to appeal to some instance, like the Virgin Mary, or God directly, asking for the grace to be able to make the prayer. However, this time I could neither perform the prayer nor appeal to any of the usual instances. It then occurred to me to appeal to the guardian angel, which unexpectedly worked, having been granted at least to pray for his intercession continually. This prayer was interrupted, among other things, by the receiving from my guardian angel the instruction that I would soon receive a great mystery, and that I should continually pray to him (guardian angel) in order not to be scandalized when confronted with this mystery. I continued the prayers and fell asleep.
I had the following impactful dream: In the dream there was a jungle laden with mountains of great height, and the mountains were stout or wide, and they had lakes and woods on the slope near their summit. The Dimond brothers climbed the mountains, helped by ropes that went up, and they lifted themselves, as well as some coreligionists (though few or unseen) and many animals, so that all of them could reach the top and console themselves with the water of the lake. I tried to lift myself up on one of the ropes, because I saw that it was very firm and secure, and others apparently did the same, although I didn't see them. Suddenly, a terrible voice (like the voice of a judge or the voice that corners a person with a guilty conscience) came from above, coming from the Dimond brothers (the Benedictines), and it said that to none of the men not invited by them to go up would be given the consolation of the water; but on the contrary, because these uninvited were strangers and past experience showed that there were many usurpers and malefactors among those who took advantage of the ropes, the Benedictines would simply leave these strangers to their own devices and to perish.
Once reached the heights, Brother Peter Dimond distanced himself from Brother Michael Dimond for a moment, and on returning, with slight surprise, he witnessed that Brother Michael Dimond had administered the water (corresponding in an analogous manner to baptism) to me and to another man who had also climbed the ropes. And when Brother Michael Dimond had come to pour the water over me, he looked burly and broad, as if he were a fat man. The reason he did not comply with his stern judgment previously alleged is that from the morning I saw myself by the lake, until much later, I wept with myself regretting not having the power to be comforted by the water, and I wept because of my sins and faults that had caused me not to be able or worthy to receive water. When he realized that my tears were sincere and pious, the Benedictine lost the power to withhold water from me, but forced by a movement of charity of the soul, without delay he communicated the purifying water. And a man close to me saw in my tears a divine sign of the gratification of purity, and he too sincerely repented and received water from the Benedictine. It is significant in this dream that the Benedictine, when he was forced to communicate the water, assumed a fat, broad and corpulent appearance. This detail makes the Benedictine correspond to the mountain itself. Furthermore, in a dream I had many years ago, angels sailed with a stabilizing, well-meaning appearance, who were burly and fat. This quality means possessing in abundance, and being associable with what is palpable or [sensibly] gross; meaning that the angels are willing to administer consolation with palpable or external signs. I believe I have received sufficient inspiration of the interpretation of the dream, and that interpretation is as follows: The ascent of the mountain is the crossing of the First Day of Darkness (of the Three Days of Darkness) that has not come but will, for the mountain grove is dark, as its inaccessible consolation. The severity of the Benedictines corresponds to the severity of God, who will affect the whole world with the punishment of "hunger" (spiritual scarcity) in a fierce way; yet, in the midst of this ordeal, consolation will be accessible to the Benedictines of Rochester, and communicable through their hands; and even if a person is in a condition unworthy of receiving that consolation and therefore the consolation is inaccessible; and the severity associated with this inaccessibility is fearsome; yet everyone who weeps or regrets his own faultssincerely and continually, and also long for the consolation of the truth sincerely and continually; the same one will receive from the hands of the Dimonds all the comfort necessary to survive this ordeal; whoever hears this advice and executes it well, need not fear the severity of the Benedictines (which underlyingly hides the severity of God), for the guardian angels of the Benedictines will bend their will and soften their severity The animals displaced along with them in their crossing are the knowledge that the Benedictines do not lose sight of but guard it with extraordinary and inspired zeal for the benefit of the faithful. He who wants to save his soul during the First Day of Darkness, hear what the Angel of the Bottomless Abyss says to the Church of God!
I am this angel, [Revelation 9:11: "the angel of the bottomless pit (whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek Apollyon, in Latin Exterminans)"] and I have recieved a warning and a prophecy from God to all of you who are not found guiltless before God, but are to contribute to the spiritual death that will befall the Two Witness before the latter be ressurected from the dead.
My Two Witnesses must be overcome and put to death, says the Lord. But woe to him by whom they are to be slain!
Behold what says the Holy Spirit, by the voice of Gabriel the Archangel, to the inhabitants of the earth:
Kill the Two Witnesses, and at the hour you do not expect, Abaddon will come like an earthquake, and you will strike your knees one against the other in fear and dread.
Behold what says God the Son, by the voice of Raphael the Archangel, to the inhabitants of the earth:
Kill the Two Witnesses and, at the hour in which both your smile and your chalice is lifted, Apollyon will come like a storm, and you will clap your hands one against the other with tremble and without being able to intercede in your favor and in favor of others.
Behold what says God the Father, by the voice of Michael the Archangel, to the inhabitants of the earth:
Kill the Two Witnesses and, in the hour you should think to possess all hours, Exterminans will come like lightning on you and strike you down with a great roar.

OUR LORD’S PROMISES ATTACHED TO THE PRAYING OF THE CHAPLET OF DIVINE MERCY AS REVEALED TO ST. FAUSTINA KOWALSKA
    1. “I promise that the soul that will venerate this image (of Divine Mercy) will not perish. I also promise victory over (its) enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I Myself will defend it as My own glory.” (Diary, 48)

    5. “Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death.” (Diary, 687)
    6. “Priests will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy…I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those souls who trust in My mercy.” (Diary, 687)

    9. “At three o’clock, implore My mercy, especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony…I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion.” (Diary, 1320; also, cf. Diary, 1572)
    10. “Souls who spread the honor of My mercy…at the hour of death I will not be a Judge for them, but the Merciful Savior.” (Diary, 1075)
    11. “The two rays denote Blood and Water…These two rays issued from the very depths of My tender mercy when My agonized Heart was opened by a lance on the Cross. These rays shield souls from the wrath of My Father…I desire that the first Sunday after Easter be the Feast of Mercy…whoever approaches the Fount of Life on this day will be granted complete remission of sins and punishment. Mankind will not have peace until it turns with trust to My mercy.” (Diary, 299-300)
    12. “I desire that the Feast of Mercy…be solemnly celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter…The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion (in a state of grace on this day) shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.” (Diary, 699)

@@chrisflorescu6743 the divine mercy chaplet is the abbreviated form of the Rosary. And the rosary is the fulfillment of the 150 psalms

You are wrong! chaplet is a private revelation with a lot of strange stuff (as the ones above). To make things worse it duplicates the Rosary like a parasite.

    • @OurLadyoftheGulfCatholicChurch
      @OurLadyoftheGulfCatholicChurch  Před 2 lety +1

Greetings Chris, and may the peace and love of our Lord be with you. The Rosary and the Chaplet have been given to us by private revelation. The Rosary is often believed to be a gift from the Blessed Mother to St. Benedic. However, it is now widely disputed by many scholars, since that type of prayer was in practices for centuries before Benedic. So, it's entirely plausible that the origin of the Rosary was not given by revelation at all. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy on the other hand, was a revelation by our Lord to St. Faustina. Both the Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy are important to Catholics for assisting in prayer, meditation and devotion. There are two takeaways here. Firstly, private revelations, even if approved by the church are not imposed on the faithful. Secondly, while neither Chaplet (the Rosary is a chaplet too) is specifically required by the church to be recited, there is perhaps no better way to develop a discipline for prayer than by praying the Rosary and/or the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. If it's good to pray one of them, it's probably better to pray both of them. As far as the promises from the excerpts of St. Faustina's diary, let the Holy Spirit guide you. Blessings!

Let me tell you a joke about Moses, Jesus and an old man.
They all went down to play a round of golf one weekend.
So Moses teed off first and the ball landed in a pond.
Moses raised his hand, the water parted and he swung,
the ball ended up close to the cup but not close enough.
Next Jesus swung.....the ball also ended up in the pond. So Jesus walked right up to the ball over the water, and took a swing. The ball ended closer to the cup but still didnt go in.
Now the old man walked up very slowly and took a swing in a completely different direction. A frog jumped up and swallowed the ball. Right at this moment, an eagle swooped down and caught the frog in its mouth flew a little more and then dropped the frog. It fell right in the cup.
Moses burst out in irritation and screamed "Jesus, this is the last time I'm playing with your father"
