    How do you like the Sherco c/w your Beta? I understand the front of the bike feels really low. Is that just because the bar bend is low or is it because of a lower steers stem? Also, specifically, how does the motor c/w the Beta? Thanks

      So the Sherco has a lot tighter turning radius, that with other Ergo factors make the bike feel significantly more nimble in the tight stuff. You do feel like your up high over the bars adding to the sensation of a small nimble bike. The motor seems to have the low end grunt advantage over the Beta. Having said that the Beta motor is it's strong suit, overall as Beta advertises "Rideability" the motor is a pleasure to ride, its just smooth great sounding useable power.

    What were the additional costs to get the Smart Carb to Canada? Thanks Nick

      @thesmoness  Před 2 lety

      It’s about 1k Canadian by the time you pay for shipping and everything :( but at least I’ve been moving it from bike to bike

    Only problem I have had with the sc2 on my beta is on a fire road going from trail to trail if I really let it run it will fall on its face going in to 4th gear but only when giving it all it has. I’m at 600 feet elevation and smart carb gave it to me at 76 clicks I am now at 90.

    • @thesmoness
      @thesmoness  Před 2 lety

      Interesting - I am probably never giving this bike all it has when I go into 4th that’s for sure. Maybe one day when I get into some more open desert ripping. I am currently at 118 clicks and it seems perfect. See latest video Bits n Pieces I feel the bike is dialed in. Makes me wonder if all my clicks registered but wherever it is, seems perfect.

      @thesmoness  Před 2 lety

      @@sxsmarine4075 actually 66:1 - I have a trials bike that calls for that so instead of running the sherco 2T at the manual requested 50:1 I just run it at 66:1 but the oil can apparently be used as low as 100:1 so I think its fine.

    Why did you get the sc2 over a lectron billetron?

    • @thesmoness
      @thesmoness  Před 2 lety

      Well when I bought my SC2 I wasn’t aware of the billetron - not sure it was available then. I was only aware of the previous lectron and I wanted the super easy tuning with one knob like the SC2 provides

      @thesmoness  Před 2 lety

      Yah I am at 120 clicks which is around 40 clicks Leander than the states default settings. Do not be afraid to go way leaner

    Opinion on SC2 on the 22 SE 300?

    • @thesmoness
      @thesmoness  Před 2 lety +2

      For me it’s a must. I know the stock carb is good but I love peace of mind from 40 degrees down to close to freezing or elevation change. But even without all that the extra fuel economy is worth the price of admission.

    You don't seem to have any pipe bang/decel surge that I can notice. I have the same bike with SC2 and the pipe bang is bad

      Sounds like you are running lean? I feel like I have my SC2 tuned pretty well for 0-600m for local riding. But if I go higher I need to give if 2-3 turns leaner.
