An Imperial airfield is under attack by Votann forces, the defenders prepare to receive the assault by barricading themselves between the hangars. The goal is to prevent the Votann from taking control of this important outpost in the region.

Not even necessarily short attention spans. These vids are tightly edited and respect your time. I have no problem sitting 2hrs to watch a larger battle summary, if it was actually 2hrs of content and not just a single-take roll of the entire game!

Two things about the Fire Overwatch stratagem: first, the stratagem can only be used once per turn unless a datasheet ability or other rule states otherwise so that second overwatch in the charge phase should not have occurred and second, the stratagem is activate based on movement whether the move be a normal, advance, fall back, or charge move so the stratagem should really be used after a successful charge roll was made since a failed charge roll will not result in a charge move. I hope you keep making these combat patrol battle reports for other combat patrols.

Mmh, unless the rules changed somewhere and we are not aware of that, the rules book says:
Stratagems.
"... You can use the same Stratagem multiple times during a battle, but you cannot use the same Stratagem more than once in the same PHASE."
Fire Overwatch.
"When: Your opponent's Movement or Charge phase, just after an enemy unit is set up or when an enemy unit STARTS or ends a Normal, Advance, Fall back or Charge move."
This is directly from the rules, if something changed let me know ^^

@@TabletopWarbands From the last sentence under Restrictions: ..."You can only use this stratagem once per turn." I believe this to be the only stratagem, at least the only core stratagem, that has this restriction. For the when, would the start of a charge move not be after a successful charge roll? I ask or make this distinction because if a charge roll is not successful a unit does not make a charge move. Perhaps I may be mistaken. Anyway, whether or not this is the case, the second use of Fire Overwatch did not amount to anything that would have impacted the outcome. Again, great video and keep up the content.

This battle was a nail biter ^^
The votan felt so long in the back foot but than once the beserks started charging they turned the battle killing those guard clones ^^

No in the combat patrol in the deployment phase you can decide to split them in 2 separate units ^^ very useful
