I like how they presented an affectionate and playful side even to the carnivore dinosaurs. Itâs a nice change from how theyâre usually shown. Plus it just makes sense considering some of the dinos have social needs so of course you should show them actually enjoying being around their friends
Well, i think it is just natural. I mean dinos are also living biengs who can easy create bonds between each other. And of course carnivores are no exeption, they have there own packs and families who are prescious to them, yes they are more rougher, but that doesn't mean that they don't like to show or to gain kindness from each other, right?
@@vladbaran8621 That's exactly the point.
In Jurassic park/world movies carnivores attack everything they found, they're just murder machines barely different from monsters, kill kill kill.
As you said, that doesn't make sense, they're animals with personalitys and emotions; dogs and cats are carnivores, yet they're our cute pets; wolfs, lions, and bears, they all can be affectionate.
@@papasmurf5314 to be fair the first movie did alright in that regard mostly, stuff like the rex effectively trying to open the car like a enrichment toy being the best example. Not perfect but the trend didn't start out as bad as it was in world.
@@papasmurf5314 I think it's because originally the dinosaurs in both the movies and novels were made to be monsters to attract more guest to the park instead of just being reanimated animals who were brought back to life which explains why they were so eager to kill people it also explains why some of the dinosaurs barely looked anything like how they used too.
@@deadmonsterhead4507 I agree. Theyâre genetically engineered hybrids with modern species DNA for a specific purpose by the plot. I think modern audiences forget that, and assume theyâre meant to be accurate representations.

I just spent 25 minutes of my life watching dinosaurs interact and cuddle with each other in a game which was then filmed and put up online.
And the best thing about it is that I don't regret it at all!
I don't even play the game myself but I can't stop watching these videos đ
These are the dinosaurs we need: real animals, not monsters that constantly destroy everything and fight

Dinosaurs arenât monsters they do that to survive
@@khadijahscott2927 the jurassic park is based to be a Sci-Fi horror about dinosaurs being genetic monsters. They are monsters and it is confirmed by the source material which is the novel.
I hate to break it to you but it's generally regarded that dinosaurs (like most birds and reptiles) were incapable of affection. Most Allosaurus skeletons are chipped by teeth marks from their own kind. Likewise there's been a Triceratops skull with anothers horn lodged in it. Dinosaurs constantly fought for territory and survival, and they were certainly more savage than any animal alive today, since nature favours the strong and vicious. Being said, I like the idea of dinosaurs being cute but any one of them would kill us on sight and that's a fact. They'd see us as prey or a threat. Nature was in its infancy back then, and oh so merciless

I was beside myself with delight when Frontier added Indominus rex and Velociraptor being able to cohabitate and form a pack. When I saw their social interaction I just shut down with happiness. Now every park I make has an enclosure with Indominus and the Raptor Squad living together.

Now I'm going to do this just because it sounds dope.

This is pretty cool! Most of the interactions seem to be dominance-asserting but there are a few playful ones. I like how tender the large plant eaters are towards each other, reminds me of elephants. As a chicken owner it's rather amusing to see bird-like behavior in such large majestic beasts. I didn't even know this game existed; it looks awesome.
I noticed it too! they definitely used bird behavior as reference, I mean it makes sense evolutionary wise but it's silly adorable lmao
Well in the game there is a alpha system so there would be dominance
Big props to Frontier for portraying dinosaurs as actual animals, especially the Carnivores.
This should be the bare minimum, but we have'nt seen this side of Dinosaurs in the Jurassic franchise since JP2, so im just grateful.
Also, that one Indoraptor animation, I see whatcha did there frontier, nice Paleo Art reference.

Indominus Rex actually being chill for a few seconds
Truly a legendary moment.
1:39 peak sibling energy
It's really surprising they actually went to the effort of doing this, since Jurassic Park and subsequent parts of the series are what popularized the non-stop fighting between dinosaurs that pop culture loves so much.
And I adore frontier for it. They knew deep down people wanted to see dinosaurs play and romp and cuddle instead of constantly killing and destroying everything (which thereâs still plenty of in-game so no worries.)
The dimetrodon part was so cute. I love how you can see where the inspirations for each type come from. Birds, crocodilians, elephants, giraffes, equines.. The clear emu inspiration gave me a laugh đ

Ooh! I've never seen this game. But as someone studying game design, these interactions are fascinating to me. They have to be at specific positions relative to each other for these animations to work, so I assume they simply wander, and if they get close enough and neither is busy, a chance appears for them to walk into exactly the positions they need to be for these animations to take place. And most of these are really smooth, like how the triceratops horns intertwine nicely. It makes me wonder how their collision is put together. I also noticed the cars trying to inch by when a dino is on the tracks, implying that the car waits for something, a piece of collision or whatever to move so it can keep going forward, yet it never seems to clip. I'd love to break this game down and see how it works.
This is honestly refreshing, seeing dinosaurs being actually animals instead of being a stereotypical dino document that you see on discovery channel.
Ain't no way we're gonna ignore that dimetrodon interaction
I love how you can tell the devs had to decide which Dinos were more cat like and which were more dog like just based on their resting animations and general interactions đ kitty cat t-Rex for the win đâ€
