Rotate them every 3-4 weeks if there are no sales

Not that these designs aren't great, but when you post on Instagram, I like to guess which will sell first. I love that someone in Japan is walking around laughing with "Musubi" on their shirt, and someone in France got your "fries" shirt.

Are you able to compare last year's sales by this year's sales? Quarters might make more sense due to season changes. I would like to know if the sales are declining or thriving every year especially between the pre-COVID pandemic, COVID pandemic, and post-COVID pandemic. Hey Juna, I am just getting into the whole t-shirt thing and all of this is very interesting and a bit overwhelming to navigate. It certainly seems like you have to play the long game to see any results. I was a little surprised at the low number of sales from 100 design submissions at 3 months. Thanks for sharing your "real world" journey and all of the information you pass along in your videos.

I just wanted to ask, do you sell on Etsy?
It basically came down to time.....It's not as passive as some of my other POD sites. It was eating up my time because of answering messages, making mockups, uploading takes longer.... I also had to deal with returns. Not the easiest to run with a 9-5. I only had about 200 designs up and it wasn't scalable for me, meaning if I had a hard time with 200 what was it going to be like with 2000 or more?

Do you put all those different designs on one platform, or do you just concentrate on one niche?
All of the designs I share online are on all 3 platforms.... but I do add more scaled designs to Amazon because they don't mind it. With the new categories and tiers on TeePublic and RedBubble they have said to stay away from scaled designs. I am doing multiple niches for all platforms

You create a main design for one marketplace that you modify for the others.
It could work. They have different audiences so if you did more research you could find out what sells best in each marketplace

I'm on Amazon Merch, but I don't have Amazon ads - is it allowed to run maybe Facebook/Instagram ads, or even Google ads to my Amazon Merch items? I haven't seen anything preventing it, but all of these platforms have weird unique rules. Thanks!
Yes you can. It’s not as good as Amazon ads but it works for you, go for it!

By other categories do you mean other products? On Amazon Merch on Demand the best product is T-Shirts. Same with TeePublic. RedBubble has a lot more products. If you go outside of those like Etsy or your own Shopify store you definitely can try different products.

I have question does the money put upfront in making pod designs through all apps used in design, research, ai apps, MockUps, running ads, ...etc. evens out at the end? Is the profit after deducting all these apps fees still worth spending time and money on creating and posting on various pod sites?
Yes they do pay off in the end but it's a long road....Like CZcams and most content creation ventures, you are losing money in the beginning but eventually, possibly months or years down the road, it starts to profitable.
Thank you for stating that out clear I am tired of seeing other pod content creators insist that it's completely free and highly profitable at the same time I've been on and off on Redbubble TeePublic Zazzle s6 spreadshirt and others, I do get sales but I didn't invest in alot of these resources you mention such as placeit, kittle, stickerwiz, and research tools, due to them saying that it's possible for literally zero dollars! I get few sales everynow and then but they are not at all consistent... I definitely learned alot during the past 2 years but based on your videos and the experience you share I really think if I invest in these resources this will maybe make pod a more of a steady side hustle for me! Yes.... I wish there was a sure fire way to get in but as of right now there is not.
Please make a clip on how to apply Amazon Merch easier because I saw a lot of people cannot apply to be a seller in this Merch.

People with worse design skills are making more money, why? Trends! The platforms NEED creators to FOCUS on trends so that their platforms are ranked higher than others.
Try stickers with cartoonish ones and not Tshirts.
Yeah... I know trends can be powerful. I just want to focus on evergreens for videos because trends come and go
@@DetourShirts As a software engineer, I'm telling you there is no such thing as 'evergreen'. If your product is in an evergreen niche and the consumer searches for it, the latest published ones are prioritized first. So your evergreen listing published 30 days ago is not going to show up. Recency bias > keyword match.
But some people like cartoon tees!

Well here is the thing that gets most people who start.... It's not really profitable in the beginning so people stop before they become profitable.... but what I didn't show is that after doing this for many years I now bring in $6,000 - $10,000 a month...as you continue to add more they stack on top of each other and compound.
