Donnaruma has become a liability for PSG since that Madrid game in 2022.

Napoli 1st leg got a penalty where Nacho blocked a shot & it deflected into his arm, his body & Osihmen were practically stuck together duelling. EPL, English media & NUFC fans need to stop crying, this has been happening all season in the CL. It's unfair & they need to fix it but it's not only you.

I just commented on cajustes nonsense yellow he received for dissentience on a no call for a blatant tackle in the box right at or before stoppage time.

Except it was bc several occurrences just like that happened in other games yesterday. They were all overturned bc of the NC game.
Having different rules/interpretations is dumb. And yes; it needs to be resolved.

@@shawnduffy279 You have a point, the noise it made influenced other decisions like that not to happen in following games.
Napoli vs RM didn't matter because RM won & no one really cares if Real Madrid get cheated/unfair calls, they have already won enough compared to NUFC.

@decode3667 The sad thing is, it should matter. I understand, though, what you're stating.
Consistency matters. If I honestly knew the rules for handball were different, I'd have a different POV. However, I'm a fan of EPL and just assumed logically that the rules were the same.
The changes to that rule, though, for the remaining games really put a stink on this tournament.

@@shawnduffy279It just goes to show that the rules are so complicated & even the officiating depends on trends.
For e.g. Liverpool's Luis Diaz & so on... Klopp coming out & most of the world outraged with Liverpool. This made Liverpool get some favoured calls in the EPL.
Officials are humans & rules are made by humans for humans. Rules need to be simpler & more direct, while the higher ups have to be more involved. There needs to aim for consistency before bringing new rules, more games or w/e changes are done to football.

Not only should it not have been a penalty, but every team that played after and experienced the same thing didn't suffer. That was extremely advantageous for everyone else, but New Castle still gets shafted.
So, how was that "fair" for that team and its fans? *I'm a neutral, btw*
There would have been a lot of different outcomes for certain teams yesterday. Bayern, for example.

If the person that commits the handball gains an advantage to clear the ball, pass the ball or shoots it. It is a handball to classic fans and players....it is an insult to the game if we dont hold that line. Advantaged gained??? >>> handball. Simple. Clear.

@@tonesweir If Newcastle were robbed then Arsenal were robbed. You selectively skipped the other VAR ignored decisions, like the punch and the ball going out which led to the cross, resulting in the goal after the 2 handed push on Gabriel. If Arsenal need to move on and get over it then Newcastle need to get over the pen.😉

    • @tonesweir
      @tonesweir Před 6 měsíci

@@helicoptersrkool The rules where correctly applied for the Newcastle goal against Arsenal and rules where not correctly applied for the PSG pen there is a difference. The element you disagree on was subjective, some people say foul and others say not a foul that's why VAR didn't step in as it's meant to be for clear and obvious errors, but interesting enough where the review panel they did say there was an error with was harvertz not being sent off but arsenal seem to fine with that error and before you go yeah but bruno should been sent off, the bruno incident was him losing the head over harvertz not being sent off, if harvertz had been sent of very likely Bruno does not react that way.

Newcastle fan, the pen was a disgrace, the foul on Hakimi i thought was a pen on first viewing, then on replay, i wasn't sure, it seemed soft but would not have complained if given. The Skriniar falling over and trapping the ball with his arm to stop Isak a 1on1 was a bit ropey too, however.

Toulouse vs Liverpool game, the ball bounced off Mac Alister's chest to his upper arm. Several passes later Quansah scores , and the goal is ruled out. If that was a foul(handball ), then this Newcastle one is also a foul(handball). So, obviously it's a penalty...🤷🏾‍♀️‼️
