Being from Hawaii and everyone not
knowing the proper meaning for it, I have no bad intentions on this but just trying to give everyone the correct information for HULI HULI CHICKEN. HULI HULI chicken means to flip or in other words, turn. The HULI does not mean to flip while the chicken while it’s cooking but to flip the chicken while marinating. We marinate our chicken for 4-5 days, usually by the 100’s, in large barrels. Everyday we’ll “HULI” or flip the chicken into another barrel to evenly marinate the chicken. We do this process everyday to get a nice marinade on the HULI HULI chicken. Mahalo for reading this and learning the proper meaning for HULI HULI chicken 🤙🏽🤙🏽
