I enjoy watching shorter guys dunk, but in addition to being shorter they often have smaller hands and shorter arms, too, so there are some dunks that are simply not possible.

I'm glad I found this video. I saw online that Spud was the shortest NBA dunker at 5'7", which basically told me I could never achieve that. Now I'm looking at you being the same height as me and it gives me hope.
Finally found a guy who fits my imagination, being able to dunk at that height is amazing.

Theres a diference in being talented and nature trash i was 6'1 at 15 and i have never touched a basket ball before but all my life i was very talented at every sport i did i have never jump, but when i started laying basketball i grabbed the rim in 1 week of training and now im dunking easy stuff

If you watch the bottom half of the screen, it is absolutely amazing. The actual throwdowns themselves are just good. Probably not winning any NBA dunk contests (re the title), but still, really really sick hops. Really impressive feat.

THAT was impressive! This generation has taken the dunk and turned it into an art.
Back in the 80s when I used to play around in the gym making up dunks, a lot of people tried to clown me and label me as just a leaper. Now, it's ok to have crazy bounce like this. I was born way too early lol. Man, you keep doing what you're doing. This is awesome. I doubt that the Team Flight Brothers crew even remembers who I am but they made me an honorary member in the early 2000s. I came along before it was common to own a video camera so, I only have one video online and it was posted by someone that I never even met.
Like I said, you are awesome and an inspiration. Makes me wanna go back in the gym and dunk again. (Right up until I actually do it and then have to come back down again lol). My last dunk was when I turned 50 (4 years ago) nothing special. Just a put-back with both hands. I was sore for 3 weeks after that.

Hey, I just started playing and Im pretty close to touching rim. Im almost 6'1 at almost 15. My dad is 6'7 and my mom is 6'1, my mom has female family members 6'2-6'4 or more.
I could get up to 6'9 if im lucky.

One of the best NBA dunk contests was when 5'7" Spud Webb won it. It's just cool to see a little guy get up that high.

I'm really not trying to take anything from you because you have insane ability, but those guys were on a completely different level.
As a white kid, I didn't get my first dunk until 9th grade at 14 years old at 5' 6". I had a growth spurt during the summer and when I came back in 10th grade at 6' tall, I could only grab the rim and never dunked a normal-sized b-ball again.

@Max Nielsen Yeah, I got them mixed up. Muggsy never dunked during a game or was in the contest. There are plenty of claims that he did dunk, but no video evidence.

The hops from both of them were insane and to be in the NBA, ESPECIALLY at those heights are rare.

This dude's penultimate stride is extremely impressive. He probably could have been a 6'10"-7'0" High Jumper since his legs can take and transmit a lot of lateral speed into vertical momentum. Many dunkers are not built like this and hip-drive which doesn't translate well to HJ. This guy is explosive because he sticks that second to last step and takes it all upward.
