I think they sound TOTALLY like Carcass. Precisely their second album. Vocal usage, solos, riffs...everything reeks of Carcass. Maybe this album is more well rounded and sweeter sounding than earlier efforts but they were once a much much heavier and darker band. They used to be one of the premier goregrind bands in the world, but this new album is a good Carcass copy, nothing more. I just doesn't do much for me. I'd rather hear Exhumed you know.
I mean, I just realized in my head that the more nuance and structure you add to grindcore, the more it becomes like pure death metal overall. But still, at least from the opening of this album, there's some pure unadulterated sections of pure grind, and it's undeniable. A lot of the grind sound comes from hardcore punk, too. It's like where hardcore and death metal overlap.

Erik Raya is a young promise with drums and four people without culture want to destroy his musical career. Do you really see that as normal civilized people? Before judging anyone, judge yourself, then read and acquire culture ... only then will you realize that the Odal Rune is not a Nazi symbol and that the one used by the Nazis was a different one.

Eh, I dunno. This one is alright, pretty much on par with their 2000s output. It has absolutely nothing on Anatomical Inferno, though.

They have a old sound but its refreshing. A lot of bands don't seem to be able to write "Riffs" all that well as of late
check their older stuff, if you dont mind the older production. "Grume'" for instance is filled with epic riffs.
The riffs are thick, meaty, and oozing. Just they way we like em!
