People were already spreading that narrative on social media before the song. Drake just ran with it. Until Drake actually shows some proof, it appears that Drake just saw the narrative and ran with it. Before the song all he and his team was doing was denying it. I even heard before Drake's claims that people were saying the stuff was from his dad's suitcase.
