    Plural of octopus is octopuses or octopodes, not octopi

      I like that this is here, because of the original Greek translation and meaning, but octopi is also acceptable in modern linguistics. :)

      that would be like getting mad at someone for calling it "a panini" when panini is the Italian word for strictly _multiple_ sandwiches. it really doesn't matter
