  • With the return of stars like JT Tuimoloau, Jack Sawyer, Tyleik Williams, Denzel Burke, Davison Igbinosun, Lathan Ransom, and Jordan Hancock, and the addition of Caleb Downs, there aren't a lot of things for Ohio State fans to worry about with this year's Buckeye defense.
So is there any cause for concern with Jim Knowles' third season in Columbus?
Ross Fulton, the Xs and Os guru at BuckeyeHuddle.com joins host Tom Orr to discuss that, how he might tweak what the team does in pass coverage, and more on this episode of Buckeyes TomOrrow Morning.

    Stop the run. That’s it.
Stop the run and they have to throw. When they have to throw, it’s over.

It's about the front 4, 5 or 6. If they get pressure, a lot of things will take care of itself on the back end. It's also about the opponent...respect their strengths to minimize the damage they can do, while also attacking their weaknesses to maximize the damage you can create.

i'd be concerned that after they've been dominated on both sides of the line of scrimmage in the only game that mattered, the only player they add through the portal is an offensive lineman who got eaten alive by kenneth grant and mason graham in the rose bowl and instead kept prioritizing skill players. if you couldn't win with stroud, harrison et al at the skill positions, how is this going to help?

The only concern is that if Ryan loses seven more to TTUN he ties the John Cooper futility record.

I Strongly disagree!! If you listen to coaches an what we saw the lights came on for Hicks!! If thats the case he will out play Sonny! This spring is his first yr as full time LB. An Hicks is an absolute beast! Going into 3rd yr if Hicks gets it then you cant keep him off the field!! Imagine Simon, Hicks an Styles all on the field!! Rich people problems huh!! LFG!!!!

Check that weakass schedule🤣..See where the teams they played last season ranked in:
    *Points Per Game
    *QB ratings
    *Total Yards per game
    *Total rushing yards per game
    *Total passing yards per game
THAT is why their defense is SO OVERRANKED,Overvalued, and Overrated....
Check out where Akron,West Michigan,Marshall, spart,Hawks,Corn,Purdy,NW,and Indy were last season in the same stats. They were/are some of the worst offenses in the country. And PUsu doesnt have a QB,or WRs who can run....Among other things

I think it's defense line against good teams. They must stop the run and the last 3 years they haven't against good teams. Michigan Missouri to nZme a few heck even Oregon ran over them Wisconsin did to.
