Just remember and nobody in movies or music seems to acknowledge what a trail blazer Grace was and still is. I think we should start a grass roots movement to get her in the Rock and roll hall of fame. Surely, they have room for somebody avant garde, great songwriter and still brings crowds to their feet.
The Rock and roll Hall of Fame inducted Madonna but has not inducted Grace jones. Try to do the math on that... Sad😢

She was a wonderful joyful riot. Her band and orchestra were phenomenal. Audience was brilliant. She said she believed in space not time when she got on stage a bit late. Special evening I was lucky to be at.
I was at this performance, seeing it live is something else, Grace is AMAZING, her band were incredible and that’s her son right behind her!

What an amazing woman, I admire Grace's energy. To the ageist prudes complaining about her showing her breasts, it's really like they don't even know who they're talking about, not so long ago she was even still performing with her iconic body-paint. Grace Jones is not one to be censored.

I went to a few of her Birthday parties here in Manhattan and one time at the Palladium Grace did a number for everyone on top of a Harley Davidson on top of a Birthday cake,( yes the cake was that big) and then after she sang, she proceeded share her cake w/everyone by elegantly tossing large pieces @ us near the stage as she proceeded to slip out of her Issey Miyake* body plate to just nothing then the champaign came as she shook it up before Suuurving it all over everyone. Have cake pieces flying at my lens b4 I pulled the cam back and turned before they hit LoL And Also GRACE is NOT going to EVER Cover up. As she has said " I'm an African Woman, I can take my clothes off if I want to" * Sad to hear that Issey Miyake has left us last week. His designs are Iconic as the ones who Grace them. FIP Issey

Love the headdress. I have always loved her avant-garde, non conformist, unique style. She has always been her own person in that industry. Not many artist and non-artist then and now have the courage to be free in their spirit of being themselves.

The known birthday boy (21st) and family was seated on my other side. In the Discotheque area.
Conversation was normal.
Everyone, all started lighting up Havanas …. Which I am allergic to… one of my contact lenses went flying ….
Torches were called for (flashlights) as all the Dunhills came out….
The afore mentioned pair helped to look, as did the birthday young mans sister….
In Couture Dior…..
On the floor at Tramp to help me find that lense…..
I will say no more about anything- 35+ years later, I will still hold all important details private.
