    I like getting units for free.... I don't like it being turn 4 and all the sudden having to deal with a lvl 7 rhino with 200k hp. So maybe keep the free units but nerf the lvls?

      It's a strange one. You get the same unit options as your opponent, so in that way, the new unit drops add a new layer of trying to 'get a read' on your opponent.
      At the same time, feels like the unit drops can favour either you or your opponent more heavily based on your existing armies.
      Pros and cons of the new feature I guess!

      i had situation when facing tanks (he had like two tech already bought) army and i having steel balls and as a cards there were wasps, hackers, fangs, and tanks... so this cards can screw you a lot

      It definitely makes you build differently but once you adapt it doesn't feel any different than cards did before. Sometimes you have cards that help you or hurt you a lot more than your opponent, this is just the same but with units.
      Some of the options need to balance pass though

    I really love the idea of the unit cards, but there must be a price added to them like normal cards to balance the super swing some units generally gives to help lower the swing and give some counter play opportunities.

    Given that I have no memory of ever being offered enhancement module, I am also going to assume that last round selection never happened lol

    I rly think it would be great if the units were just given in some fun mode instead of making this the main mode tied to your MMR, it just feels like the RNG shafts you way harder than the cards ever could. I think it's a fun change for a few games but not for the main mode.

    I always love the random possibilities as it expands your horizons and possibilities of getting out of a bad situation by simply giving you alternatives. Might this be balanced or not i would like to see a different Queue to the experimental features so you can actually decide what to play. BUT by forcing us they will get the DATA they are using this for sooooooo in conclusion i really like the patch, i would just put it as a different queue

    I do love the patch, but I wish it was a seperate game type, and maybe when it is.. even a bit more cards? Like both the choice for a card and a unit. Just to make it even more absurd 😏 I like the randomness and the game changing stuff you get a lot. But I can see why some people hate it.. I’m in for fun not for MMR (also not good enough for getting MMR lol)

    The problem is that it becomes a guessing game of which card your opponent is going to pick. If 1 of the options is getting 8 wasps, then you may want to counter this with for example building some mustangs.
    If your opponent however went for something like 2 fortresses instead, you are basically f**ked :).

    I get a feeling that it would just be better to give 1 card that's an upgrade to a unit you already have 1 to a unit you may want and the other 2 are for your opponent same with a unit round

    They would have to rebalance the starting spcs imo. Things like cost control are heavily disadvantaged. First drop is usually fine, but in later rounds just being offered a swarm of units as a solution to your problems feels unhealthy for the game. Should be its own mode or toned down a little bit.
    I like the raid boss potential of some of these drops tho :D

    Win or lose this patch doesn't feel as satisfying. I like that there are more units on the board and the faster pacing that leads to. But the offerings can definitely be one sided and lead to one player snowballing or making a massive come back. It seems like every game the random offering of units decides the game and not so much the players building of the board.

    lol, this patch decimated the playerbase, literally Zero players queued peaktime 5pm here in Britain ... Grats on owning your own game devs

      Steam numbers suggest a 20% bump in active players in the days since the update. It brought some folks back. Whether they stay or not remains to be seen!

    The patch doesn't feel good even when you win with it. You're stuck either loosing because of lucky unit generation or lose because of lucky unit generation. Like you didn't outplay the giant spec because you drew the 6 Hacker card, you just hard countered them forever off of random chance. It's not good.

    The random unit cards are messy. I don’t like them. I personally think it unbalances the rounds each game. Like the point of managing your resources is a big part of the game. If you can randomly pick a unit card and it’s high lvl, and you can unlock the unit for the free is madness. I personally don’t like the update :/

    Games are shorter. Just counter pick the free units or get te strongest unit out there if you already have counter units on the board. I got 7 units of lvl 2 wasps. Bought 1 more and bought 2 marksmen. Set the 8 wasps on flank and rolled because my opponent went 3 overlords. Spammed phoenix after that and he just disconnected.

    has anyone seen or had a draw? i played a game a week ago where in round 3 neither me or opponent lost points. a complete draw and my opponent and i were both shocked at this.

    As this udate is really swingy and RNG based (no need for "wrinkles" when you are suddenly offered a Lvl 3 factory, a Lvl 8 hacker or a massive amount of Lvl 7 fangs for free at random, especially when improved upgrade cards for those had been given in the rounds before (even sometimes multiples ones as cards can appear more than once after being taken now. Talk about unfairness !) ), I think it would be better as a separate fun game mod ('cause is still damn fun), untied to MMR, so that players that "just wanna have fun" can play it at their leasure and competitive players can compare their "wrinkles" as much as their want without getting frustrating loss or wins (as "wrinkle" seem to be the "take a shot when you hear it" word of today's video).

    New patch sucks. Commander card at the start now has almost no impact vs unit cards, especially supply type specialists. If any player picks a 6x unit card the entire game for two rounds becomes countering that with no warning, it just makes it dumber. Flanks are now brutal, you can have like 5x giant units just appear in one round. Winning or losing now feels random and utterly unsatisfying.

    This patch is the least fun i’ve had. Winning does not feel satisfying. Feels more like a card game/dice game than a slow burn chess strategy game.

    This update absolutely sucks. Chaos is fun for about 5 minutes. Fuck this game until they fix it.
