My fiancé and I are planning to move from Florida to MN, I have done a lot of research and really enjoy Eagan. Are you still a real estate agent in MN? Moving cross country from a super hot state to a super cold longer winters state is scary but exciting! I would love to ask you more questions! Also, love your videos! Super helpful!

I don't understand why people who want to live in suburbs of major American cities would chose any one over another. They are - with little differences - pretty much the same. A suburb of Nashville is about the same as a suburb of Minneapolis. Or Omaha. Or Atlanta. The same Paneras. The same Starbucks. The same Home Depots. The same Taco Bell's. The same office parks. The same Stroads that are 45 MPH that lead you to circuitous parking lots that serve Home Depots and Costcos. The same Nordstrom Racks, the same AMC theatres, Raising Canes and McDonald's. The same GMC dealerships. The same mid-century ramblers surrounded by the same plastic-sided and bloated houses with acres of sheetrock built by the same developers trying to sell you some weird version of an "American Dream" that includes 4 bedrooms and 3 baths with an optional back deck ready for your sliding doors to nowhere off the dining room.
Same, same same, with little differences other than what geography is visible on the horizon. The uniqueness of American cities do NOT involve suburbs. Their hearts reside in their unique inner cities. If you are relocating to another American metropolis, you will find comfort in the suburbs. But you will find yourself living the exact same life you lived before, with few surprises but in just a different climate.

I definitely understand what you’re saying, but my thought on this is the big things to consider that DO change are job markets, schools and climate as well as nearby leisure activities!
